How are you? I am {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (忙碌) this month. September is the ninth {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (月) of a year. I have a lot of things to do. September 5th is my good friend Gina' s {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (生日). I will go to her birthday {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (聚会) in the evening. On the 11th, I will have an English 1{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (测试). On September 17th, I will have a baseball game and it will be quite interesting. You know I love {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(运动). It makes me {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (放松). On the 24th,I have a school {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(旅行). On the 28th, I will go to Mr. White's {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (服装) store. The clothes there are on {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(特价销售) that day. I want to buy a {#blank#}11{#/blank#}(双) of sports {#blank#}12{#/blank#} (鞋子) and a {#blank#}13{#/blank#}(T恤衫). The hats there are {#blank#}14{#/blank#} (非常)nice. I will {#blank#}15{#/blank#}(买) one for you. Oh, Grandma! I'm very sorry I can't go to see you with my parents this month. See you next month.

Should children do housework? Different people have different ideas. Some parents will say that their children are too busy for housework. Other parents will ask their children to do housework，but the housework doesn't get done. That's a problem. 

Doing housework is good for children. Doing housework helps them develop an awareness of the needs of others. One small study，done over a period of 25 years，found that young adults will succeed in their mid﹣20s depend on whether they took part in housework tasks at the age of 3 or 4. Those who early shouldered responsibilities developed a sense of responsibility in other areas of their lives. 

But few kids are doing much around the house at all. In a survey of 1，000 American parents，75 percent said they believed doing housework made kids" more responsible". Yet only 36 percent of those said they required their children to do housework. 

Sports and homework are not the housework﹣free reasons. The goal，after all，is to raise a kind of adults who can balance a caring role in their families and communities. Housework teaches that balance. 

What should you do when getting children to do housework? Never accept their excuses. Don't worry if you must repeat yourself again and again. If you're spending more time getting the child to do housework than it would take to do it yourself，then you're doing it right. Can a payment help?I don't think so. If you're trying to teach kids to shoulder the responsibility of a home，paying them for housework is not the right choice. 

Freda Lewis was a popular young woman in town but she sometimes acted strangely.And she was always forgetting something.

One day her mother asked Freda to go to the bank to get some money.It was a really cold，windy，winter day，Freda forgot that she was still wearing the mask and went inside.

Freda walked up to the window，and the teller （出纳员） got panicky because she saw a person wearing a mask.Without saying a word，the teller gave Freda ＄10，000 in an envelope.Freda did not open the envelope before leaving the bank and had no idea she was carrying so much money.

After Freda left，the teller called the police and said that her bank had just been held up by a robber （劫匪） who was wearing a mask.Freda was on her way back home when she noticed there were three police cars.The police made her stop.The poor girl was frightened to death，and didn't know why the police would be after her.The police pulled her out of the car and forced her to the ground.

When a police officer pulled off the mask，they all found it was Freda，and realized that someone had made a mistake.Once the police explained why they were there，Freda told them that she always wore a mask in winter and that she must have forgotten she was wearing it when she entered the bank.

When the police asked the bank teller if Freda had demanded the money，the teller realized that she had made a big mistake.Luckily，no one was hurt，and everything was returned to the bank.

 "BANG!" the door was shut loudly. I was just standing there, with my father standing on one side, and I on the other side. We were both in great anger. "Never set foot in this house again!" my father said angrily. With tears in my eyes, I rushed out and ran along the street. The street lights were shining. I felt sad and walked aimlessly (漫无目的地) . 

I didn't know whether it was because I had grown up or because my dad was getting old. He always put his opinions on me. We were just like two people in two different worlds. It felt like there was an iron door between us that could never be opened. 

My heart was frozen (冰冷的) on this hot summer night.As I walked on, there were fewer and fewer people on the streets. When I finally reached my house, I saw that the light was still on. 

"Perhaps my dad is throwing away some of his old stamps," I thought. "Perhaps he thinks they are useless." I never had the courage to tell him that I liked collecting stamps. All the lights were off except my father's. 

Dad was always like this. Maybe he didn't know how to express himself. After shouting at me, he never showed any moments of regret (懊悔) . This was how he always was. He had been a leader for so long that telling everyone else what to do had become his second nature. 

The light was still on. With the key in hand, I opened the door nervously. When I opened the door, tears ran down my face. I suddenly realized that the iron door that I had imagined between us did not exist (存在) at all. Love- it's second to none. 

In Germany, if children want to ride bikes on the road, they have to pass a test. The test is quite like our driving test.

First, the students have thirty classes about how to ride bikes safely on the road. Each student has a book. The book tells them how to keep safe on the road, how to keep others safe and what to do if they get hurt. Here is a picture from the book. It tells the students the right way to turn left.

After the classes, the students will have two written tests. Then, they will do some riding practice at school. Some policemen will come to give them some help.

At last, the students will have a test on the road. If they can pass the test, they can get a bike license (执照). Then they can ride on the road.

We all know Germans are very careful. We can see this from their riding test for the students. The students learn to ride, and at the same time, they learn the spirit (精神) of the country.

It was my first English lesson. The teacher wrote some words and {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(句子) on the blackboard and asked us to write them down. Suddenly, I stopped writing. " That's wrong. Is it OK to {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(指) out the {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(错误)? Is it polite?" Questions like these jumped into my {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(头脑 ). I got nervous and my mouth felt {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(干燥的). After thinking for a while, I put up my hand and looked at Ms Chen. My eyes met {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(她的). " Ms Chen, there is a mistake in your spelling, "I said. " The word 'writing' has only one‘t', but you write a double ‘t'. " " Well done!" Ms Chen praised me and told us, " In {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(事实), it's a lesson for you. It's really {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(重要的) for all of you to think more and question(质疑) in your learning. Learning {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(没有) thinking is of no use. As junior high school students, you should always {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(记住) this and try to think more in your study. "
