Laughter yoga(大笑瑜伽) is a new way for people to take exercise. It's popular around the world these{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(day). Laughter is{#blank#}2{#/blank#} easy way to make you happy and healthy.

Dr Madan Kataria{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(start) the first laughter club in 1995 in India. It was a{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(noise) club, but it was free to join the club. Now there are over 5,000 laughter clubs with different rules in the world. World Laughter Day comes{#blank#}5{#/blank#} the first Sunday in May every year. Many people come together to laugh and they{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(be) happy on that day. Of course, teachers cannot be strict{#blank#}7{#/blank#} them.

Dr Madan Kataria said, "Laughter is good for your body. It can also help you feel good, even if you feel very terrible on{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(rain) days sometimes. If you spend more time{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(laugh), you will be healthy." So more and more people would like{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(join) the club to keep healthy.

On 18th November.1908, three men went up in a balloon (气球).They started early in London. The headman was Augusta Gaudron, and the other two men were Tannar and Maitland. They had a big balloon and they were ready for a long way.

Soon they heard the sea. They were carrying the usual rope, and it was hanging down from the basket of the balloon. At the end of the rope they had tied a metal box. This could hold water, or it could be empty. So they were able to change its weight. It was for use over the sea. They were also carrying some bags of sand.

After the sun rose, the balloon went higher. It went up to 3,000 metres, and the air was very cold. The water in the balloon became ice. Snow fell past the men's basket, and they could see more snow on the ground. The men tried to throw out some more sand, but it was hard. They tried to break the icy sand with their knives, but it was not easy. The work was slow and they were still falling, so they had to drop some whole bags of sand. One of them fell on an icy lake and made a black hole in the ice.

At last they pulled the box into the basket. It was still snowing, so they climbed to get away from the snow. They rose to 5,100 metres! Everything became icy. They were so cold that they decided to land. They came down in Poland heavily but safely. They had travelled 1,797kilometres from London!

Volunteering is a great way to help others. For example, you can help your friends with their homework；or you can chat with an elderly person who feels 1 . Helping others can actually help yourself, too. 

There is a girl called Jane. She worked as 2 volunteer at the Hillside Soup Kitchen  3 she was 16 years old. She  4 working there for three years. Different kinds of food, drinks and snacks are served to the hungry families in the soup kitchen. "I like helping other people. And I think I can learn a lot  5 it, too. Volunteering gives me a chance to meet many people  6 helps me to connect with people. For example, I have made many good friends there, " says Jane. 

Every Saturday, Jane wakes up early and goes to the soup kitchen after having breakfast. The soup kitchen is not far away from  7 home. It usually takes Jane fifteen minutes  8 there. "The families are very friendly, " she says. "I always say hello politely before I give them food, and they 9 say "thank you. "When Jane sees the smiles on their faces, she feels much  10 . 

Volunteering increases your happiness. It can give you a sense of purpose, which can in turn develop your self﹣confidence and make you active. 

American students have colourful school days. They usually get up at 7：00 a．m. from Monday to Friday. After breakfast they go to school by yellow school bus. They get to school at about half past eight. Students have seven classes in junior high school, four in the morning and three in the afternoon. 

Their classes are English writing, maths, history, science, PE, music and art.

At noon, students have lunch at school. They usually have some chicken and vegetables. They don't have a short break. They go back to continue having classes after lunch until three o'clock. After school, they do sport, like playing basketball or football with their friends.

Then they go home.Students usually watch TV before dinner. They have dinner at six in the evening. After that, they do their homework in their rooms. Sometimes they talk with their parents.

On the weekend, students don't have to get up early in the morning. 

They may get up at 9 or 10 o'clock. On Saturdays, they often go shopping or go to their grandparents' homes. And on Sundays, they go to a museum with their parents in the morning and have a big lunch at noon.

If you live in a place where most people speak the language you are learning, you may use the language for several hours each day. So, it may become a part of your "inner speech". In other words, you start thinking in that language. Your mind stops trying to translate （ 翻译） things from your native language into the second language. But most learners live in places where English is not the main language. This may be true for you. You may not have many chances to practice English. You may even be self-taught. 

When you speak, your speech might be slower than you would like. This is because your mind is still translating from your first language, which can also sound unnatural. English, like every other language, has its own sentence patterns. 

The good news is that thinking in English can bring you a huge step closer to proficient speakers! It is not very difficult, but it does work hard and practice. On today's Education Tips, we will share some exercises that can help. 

Think in individual(单独的)words

Most experts note that it's best to start small. So, a good first step is to think in individual words. Look around you. What do you see? In your head, try to name each object in your mind. 

Describe unknown words

If you're looking at your house and you see your garage, but you can't think of the name in English, you can say, "It's the place where I put my car. " Or you can say, "It's next to my house. I keep things there. "

For example, if you are sitting in a park, you can tell yourself things like, "It's such a beautiful day" and "People are playing sports with their friends". Once this becomes easy, you can move on to more difficult sentences. 

There are various reasons why people travel. Some tourists go to see battlefields or other historic remains. Others are looking for culture, or simply want to have their pictures taken in front of famous places. Most European tourists are looking for a sunny beach to lie on. 

Northern Europeans are willing to pay a lot of money for the sun because they have so little of it. People of cities like London, Copenhagen and Amsterdam spend much of their winter in the dark because the days are so short, and much of the rest of the year in the rain. This is the reason why the Mediterranean (地中海) has always attracted them. Every summer many people travel to Mediterranean resorts (度假胜地) and beaches for their vacation. They all come for the same reason: the sun!

The huge crowds mean lots of money for the economy of Mediterranean countries. Italy's 30, 000 hotels are booked without a break every summer. And 13 million people camp on French beaches, parks and roadsides. About 37 million tourists visit there yearly, or one tourist for each person living in Spain. 

But there are signs that the area is getting more tourism than it can deal with. The Mediterranean is already one of the most polluted seas on earth. None of these, however, is ruining(毁掉) anyone's fun. Obviously, they don't go there for clean water. They allow traffic jams and seem to like crowded beaches. They don't even mind the pollution. No matter how dirty the water is, the coastline still looks beautiful. And as long as the sun shines, it's still better than sitting in the cold rain in Berlin, London, or Oslo.
