    I am Evan from Canada. Being the oldest child in the family has its disadvantages. First of all, I have to share all my toys with my young sisters.     I have learned English for many year, but I don't have a really chance to speak before foreigners. Last Monday, I go downtown to buy some flowers for my friend Mary, whom was seriously ill. I was going to the hospital to see him. In the shop a foreigner and the boss was having a conversation, so the boss didn't know what the foreigner said. I hesitated for while, then I came to help the boss. They thanked for me so much and I felt very happy and exciting. Since then, I have been determined to learn English well.

    Last week, we watched an excited basketball match in our school. It is between Grade 1 and Grade 2 students. During a match, the players from all teams played very hard. Grade 2 was a stronger team. However, for our surprise, Grade 1 won at last. The player jumped and hugged to celebrate their success. Just then, the players from the other team that approached and said “Congratulations!” to them. They wore smiles on faces and you couldn't tell from their expressions that they had lost the match.     I once get a VIP pass to a huge concert given by one of the most popular rock bands in world. The ticket qualified me to meet all the member of the band backstage but to watch the whole process of setting up for the concert. The guitarist was a man whom was very kind. I did not have much anxiety while getting to know them better, but the rest were more of reserved. They just smiled and made friend gestures. Anyway, watching the stage being set up and all the microphones being checking, I understood how hard it was to putting on a stadium concert. It took hours of preparation to produce quality sound.
