As a kid， I read a story of a bird. It described a male bird which takes a lot of pain to build a house and the female bird takes care of the baby in it. When the baby bird learns to fly， the whole family flies off to a different place leaving behind the beautiful nest for other birds to grow their family in it. It made me confused(困惑的)： How could they so easily give up their house built with so much effort?

    One night， I got this dream. I was walking on the endless road with beautiful trees on the either side. Attracted by the greenery， I went on， then I saw a wonderful house. I explored the house. There was a sloping(斜的) roof which matched with the greenery around； the large central open yard reminded me of the activities that might have taken place there which felt lively even now. The small water body that kept the house cool added to the beauty of the house — of course， it was all dried up now. Such liveliness turns the house into a home. People say “THE HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS”， and now I felt it and was attracted deeply.

    When I woke up from the dream， I was clear about everything. I realized what message my dream wanted to convey(传递) me. And years later， when I chose my career， I thought of the story of the bird and my dream， then I was sure what to do. I decided to choose architecture as my career. I wanted to do the same thing that the male bird in the story did， to take pain in building a beautiful house and let others stay in it. My dream comes true and the happiness that I gain now from this career is great.

    Mr Smith was in trouble those days. He drove a car for Mr Black, a rich businessman. He worked hard and the shopkeeper liked him. But he couldn't work when he drank too much. And once he almost fell into the river when he drove along the bridge. Mr Black become angry and was going to send him away. He had a big family and was afraid of it and promised(许诺) he would stop drinking at once. The man told him to wait to be dealt with(处置).

    One Monday morning Mr Smith came into the office with two badly burnt(烧伤的) ears.

    "What happened to your ears?" asked Mr Black.

    "Well," said the man." I went to watch a football match yesterday while my wife was ironing(熨) clothes. She had put the iron(熨斗) near the telephone before she went to cook supper. Our team lost the game and I felt sorry for it. As soon as I went into the sitting-room, the phone rang and I answered the iron!"

    "And what happened to the other ear ?"

    "When I put the iron down on the table, the telephone rang again!"

    There is a little girl. Her name is May. She is eight years old. May always asks her mother, "Why is my name May?" Her mother says, "Because your birthday is in May." The little girl is very happy and she likes her name. She thinks her name is very interesting. Every year, on May's birthday, all her friends come to her house and say happy birthday to her. They watch TV, play games and eat the birthday cake together. And she can get a lot of presents(礼物).

    May has a little brother. He is five years younger than his sister. She likes him very much. He was born(出生) in April. Can you guess his name? Haha, his name is April. Oh, April will have a sister next month, the second month of a year. Can you guess what her name is?

There are many interesting stories between Father and Son.

One day, Father and Son were walking slowly 1 a river, suddenly Son cried, "Daddy, look, there is a woman falling into the river!"Without thinking too much, Father jumped into the water and 2to the woman, "Don't worry, lady. I'm a good swimmer and I will try my best to save you." Father pulled the woman on to the bank (岸边). He was 3but happy. But the lady was not thankful to Father at all; instead, she slapped Father heavily. She jumped into water again. Oops! This was a 4competition !

It was snowing 5, but Son was very happy. He spent a lot of time making a snowman with Father. It was tall and big. Son liked it very much. But at night, someone 6the snowman down. When Son saw this the next morning, he cried sadly. Father was angry and decided to find out who did this. He was dressed as a snowman and stood by the road. One man came here and wanted to push the snowman again. Bang! The snowman kicked his ass. "Oh, my god! I met a ghost! "The man ran away quickly.

One morning, Son told Father he didn't 7well. Father brought some warm water to Son and asked him to have a good rest, and then Father hurried out to 8some medicine; but on his way to the medicine shop,he found that he 9his money at home. When he opened the door, he found Son 10the cat happily .Father was so angry that he told Son to go to school at once.

Kuang Heng was born in a poor family. He liked reading books very much. He needed to work at daytime, so he had to read books during night. But he was too poor to buy candles. 

One day, he found his neighbor had candles, but the light couldn't go through his room. So he dug a small hole on the wall so that he could use the light to read books. From that day, he read books every night until the light went out. 

However, he finished reading all his books and there were no books for him to read. Then he went to a rich man's house and worked for him without payment. The rich man asked: "Why don't you want the money?"

Kuang Heng said: "Because I only want to borrow your books." The rich man agreed. Kuang Heng read the books one by one. 

Because he tried to get over difficulties and worked hard, he became a great scholar（学者）at last.
