WHITE                        What are you doing this evening, Towers?

CHANDLER                (Smiling) Tonight I'm going to live like a man with a million dollars!

CHANDLER                How much money are you and I paid each week, Jeff?

WHITE                        Eighteen dollars. Why?

CHANDLER                Well, I don't. Each week I save one dollar out of my eighteen. Then,

every ten weeks, I can buy myself an evening to remember.

WHITE                        What do you do?

CHANDLER                I put on my finest clothes, go to one of the best restaurants in New York,

eat the most expensive food on the menu, drink the best wine, and then

take a taxi home!

WHITE             (  29  ) Why?

CHANDLER        Why? Because it makes me feel wonderful to sit with some of 'the richest

people in America, and to make them think that I'm rich, too.

WHITE             You're crazy!

CHANDLER        (Laughing) Perhaps I am!

Mrs Black comes in.

MRS BLACK               Ah, Mr Chandler. I wanted to see you.

CHANDLER                Good evening, Mrs Black. What a lovely evening!

MRS BLACK               Lovely evening perhaps, but you haven't paid me for your room this

month. When am I going to get the money?

CHANDLER         Soon, Mrs Black. Very soon.

Mrs Black looks at Chandler s clothes.

MRS BLACK               You can spend money on expensive clothes, but you can't pay for your

room. Is that right?

    In January, 2017, a Chinese "diplomat(外交官)" came back to China from the United States. Many US people were at the airport and said goodbye to her. Who is the diplomat? She is a 3-year-old panda called Bao Bao.

    Bao Bao was born at the National Zoo in Washington D. C., the US in 2013. Her parents are Tian Tian and Mei Xiang. China sent them to the US in 2000."We have watched Bao Bao grow up during the past three years," said Dennis Kelly, the zoo director. "We're going to miss her so much."

    Why does Bao Bao have to come back to China? It's because all the pandas born in foreign countries must come back to China before they turn 4. This is an agreement between China and other countries.

    Bao Bao spent about 16 hours on the plane home. A zookeeper and a doctor stayed with her along the way. The zoo also put bamboo, apples, biscuits, potatoes and water on the plane. Now, Bao Bao is happy at her new home in Chengdu, Sichuan Province.

Our clothes can make us feel better about ourselves One way is wearing different colors of clothes.

Normally, when we are sad, we'll wear dark-colored clothes. But when we are happy, we often choose to wear bright-colored clothes. Because what we choose reflects(反映) how we are feeling. It shows that wearing special colors of clothes can change our feelings.

For example, when we are feeling sad, we may feel worse if we wear black. And if we wear green, red or yellow, we may begin to feel better.

It's said that each color has its own healing power(治疗作用). When we are wearing red, we should feel more energetic(充满活力的). When we are wearing green, we should feel more peaceful. When we are wearing black, we should feel safer.

So remember, if you are not feeling at your best, you can try out some different colored clothes. Maybe one color has no effect on your feelings, but another will.

" Wow, that's interesting! I have seven colors now. I can draw a rainbow. Thanks, Dad!"

 With the help of her father, Alice draws a great rainbow. She is so happy!

①Bad things happen to many of us. Something makes you sad, angry, frustrated or disappointed. But you still have to get up and go to work. Everything others say to you sounds stupid. Everyone seems to annoy you from time to time. Luckily, you can do something about it. Here are some ways to turn around a bad day. 

②Accepting that you're in a bad mood is not that hard. If you're mad, be mad. If you are sad, be sad. This does not give you license to be rude and unpleasant to others. It just means that you need to recognize and accept your bad mood to be able to do something. 

③You can try to keep your bad mood a secret and put on your happy mask. But guess what! You're fooling nobody around you but yourself. The best thing to do is to tell the people you work closely with what is happening to you. Just simply tell them "Listen, I'm in a really bad mood today. I'm not sure why, but it has nothing to do with you. If I____bite your head off, I say sorry in advance. "

④Spend a few moments trying thinking of at least one or two things that aren't all bad: Something

that you look forward to, such as a person you like at work or something nice that happened recently. 

⑤Take some quiet time. Have a walk in your lunch break. Sit and work somewhere peaceful alone. Take a relaxing long bathroom break. Consider going home early or taking the day off.
