As China's biggest shopping event, the Double 11 shopping day is now in its 15th year. Different from years before, a new idea—reverse consumption (反向消费) — has come into young{#blank#}1{#/blank#} mind. It means that they buy things wisely instead of buying them blindly. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} with traditional consumption patterns, it refuses to keep buying new products, and pays more attention to the quality and the real costs of the products. This idea has {#blank#}3{#/blank#} become popular among the young people. And it has also influenced their buying {#blank#}4{#/blank#}.

Why are young people changing their ideas and spending {#blank#}5{#/blank#}on buying? One of the reasons is that people have different {#blank#}6{#/blank#} for quality life after the three-year COVID-19 pandemic. Many young people find that material wealth does not bring true happiness. They start to care more about {#blank#}7{#/blank#} growth and the building of social relationships. As a result, they put inner needs {#blank#}8{#/blank#} their first consideration. What's more, young people also care more about the environment. Buying things blindly not only causes plenty of waste, but also may bring environmental {#blank#}9{#/blank#}.

Reverse consumption influences the market and the sellers in turn. The companies have to manage {#blank#}10{#/blank#} the quality of their products and offer better service as well. One thing is for sure—products with higher quality and lower prices will win.

"Am I an'I' person or an'E' person?" It is a popular topic among young people around China today. Many people are crazy about it so that they take a personality test named Myers-Briggs test to find out the answer.

Many people find the MBTI ( Myers-Briggs Test Indicator) useful. It groups people into 16 types, which start with the letter"I" or"E", such as"ENTJ, INFP" or more. "E" is short for"Extroversion" while"I" is for"Introversion". After testing, some say, "I'm extroverted, I should go to parties and make friends," while others think, "I'm introverted, I prefer working alone, maybeI' ll be a writer someday." They believe knowing their type can help them make quicker choices about activities, careers, and life paths.

However, there are some problems with the test. Some get different results when they retake it, and some find it hard to answer certain questions. For example, "I like watching TV alone, but I also enjoy hanging out with friends. Am I an'I' or an'E'?"

When you take a personality test, you may think, "Oh, that's me." That's because the descriptions are generic. They can be used to describe many people. Research has found that over50% of people get a different score when they retook the MBTI just five weeks later. Personalities can change with time, and they are not black-or-white, scientists say. You may be introverted now but become extroverted when you get older. Or, you can be both an"I" and an"E". Don't label(贴标签) yourself! Studies have also shown that the test is not real at telling people's success in different jobs. So, don't take it too seriously.

Volunteering in your community gives you a chance to give back. You' ll feel proud that you are volunteering your time, and a local organization will benefit, too. There are some tips(建议) you can follow to help you do your volunteer jobs well. You should choose a volunteer job first and pay attention to the volunteer job you feel strongly about. When you decide to volunteer, you shouldn't accept the first volunteer chance you come across easily, because you' re likely to be happier and volunteer longer at an organization that supports a job you care about. So you may need to find a volunteer job that makes full use of your abilities or skills. Then, treat the volunteer job like a real job or your study task. That means being serious. Spend some time preparing for the interview, much as you would prepare for a job interview. During your volunteering, you should take responsibility (责任) for everything you do instead of giving up. You may even complete any needed training to help you volunteer well, such as learning some useful skills to help others. Being active and creative is also necessary. Both of the two traits(特质) will help you be great volunteers.

 阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C和D四个选项中,选出最佳选项。

Have you heard of the saying "Fall down seven times, stand up eight. "? It means that no matter how difficult things get and no matter how many mistakes you have made, you still have the passion(热情) and energy to keep going. This is called perseverance and it can help you achieve lots of things.

Perseverance means keeping doing something over a long time, even when it gets difficult. It's believed that you can reach a goal if you prepare to work for it. Practicing a skill on your bike over and over again or finishing a picture without throwing it away shows perseverance. Florence, 12, says, "It means never giving up, being determined and trying hard to push yourself. I go running with my mom three times a week, even when I don't like it, because I want to be the fastest in my class. "

Studies show that feeling hopeful and working towards a goal can reduce stress and make you feel happier. Achieving something you've worked hard for, and overcoming challenges along the way, can also develop your confidence and make you feel braver to try new things. Angela Duckworth, an expert in thoughts and feelings, believes that it doesn't matter how talented, clever or rich you are, having    grit is what really helps you succeed. She explains, "No matter how gifted you are, and no matter how easily you do well in your lessons, you should have perseverance. "

Duckworth believes perseverance is something anyone can learn, and the best way to do this is to have a growth mindset. This means believing that your brain can grow, and that you can achieve anything if you put your mind to it. So instead of thinking "I can't do this", try thinking "I can't do this. . . yet".
