I was on my way home with a friend yesterday {#blank#}1{#/blank#} I found a mobile phone by the roadside. After picking it up, I suggested that we go to the house in front of which we found the mobile phone. And we did so. I {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (knock) at the door and two young men answered. Neither of them had lost {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(they) phones, but as I referred to some names on the contact list(通讯录), one of them said he also had those {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(name) and that it must be the phone of one{#blank#}5{#/blank#}their friends. Then, he took the phone and said how wonderful it was that I took the time{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(find) the owner. Afterwards, I left without {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(leave) my name or address. I never considered keeping the phone. Instead, I immediately tried to find {#blank#}8{#/blank#} owner. And I believed that was {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(exact) what I would want someone to do if I lost my phone. It couldn't have been {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (good).

    Sometimes, helping others is just doing the right thing.

    The computer began as a calculating machine in France in 1642. It could make difficult sums much {#blank#}1{#/blank#}  (simple). In 1936 Alan Turing wrote a book about how the computer could be made to work as a "universal machine"   {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (solve) any difficult mathematical problem.

    At{#blank#}3{#/blank#} beginning, the computer was {#blank#}4{#/blank#}large as a room. This really worried the designers. As time   {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (go) by, it became smaller and smaller. With artificial {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (intelligent), it is getting cleverer and cleverer, quicker and quicker.

    In the early 1960s, computers could{#blank#}7{#/blank#}connect) by a network,{#blank#}8{#/blank#} enabled their users to share information {#blank#}9{#/blank#} others. Since the 1970s, computers have had many new{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(application) and become very important in communication, finance, trade and even been put into space rockets and sent to explore the Moon and Mars.

    I never thought that little help would turn out to be the most satisfying thing I have ever done. He was tired, in pain and struggling to climb farther. With a broad smile, he asked me {#blank#}1{#/blank#} I could help him with some money. He was paralyzed(残疾)in both {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(leg) and was raising money for an operation. He said if doctors operated {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (success), he could attend a training for a job. I was full of doubts. I even asked him {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (show) his legs. In the end, I gave him some money. After a few days, he came back asking for more money. This time I was sure that he was cheating {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(I). However, I gave him some.

    A year later, I got a call from him. What he said was {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (move). He said the operation was successful and he had got a job. He wanted to return my money so that I wouldn't feel {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (cheat) and would continue to help people who are {#blank#}8{#/blank#} need in the future. I don't know whether he guessed my facial expression that day, but tears {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (run) down my face. That day I promised him I would continue to help people when I got an opportunity—small {#blank#}10{#/blank#} big.
