    Last Sunday Li Lin, one of my classmates, and I go to a bookstore. At a counter we noticed that the foreigner was talking to a clerk, but the clerk didn't understand how the foreigner said. So we went up to him and was asked if he needed help in English. After knowing what he real wanted, we took him to the counter which he was looking. He was interesting in Chinese folk music very much. We gave him some advices on what to choose. The foreigner picked some music tapes with your help. He gave his sincere thanks to us and left, satisfied and happily.

    The Oxford English Dictionary is thinking of adding the Chinese word "tuhao" to its latest edition. The word had become popular in China during the past few months to describe rich people who spend money in wasteful ways. "Tuhao" has been caught on in western countries, either. Similar people are described likewise in his countries. True speaking, the adoption of the word by foreign countries is example of China's spreading influence. Foreigners are paying attention to which is happening in China and are picking up some Chinese words, especially the words which express unique Chinese idea and cannot be easily translated into English. Hopefully, China's influence for the world will continue to be strengthened with an increasing number of Chinese words adopting by foreign dictionaries.

    Last week, I went to a painting exhibition. Upon enter the gallery, I put on the earphones which would give me informations of all the paintings. Suddenly, I noticed that the elderly woman who didn't know how to use the earphones stood anxiously in front of a painting. I rushed to her with hesitation but helped her put on the earphones. The woman thanks me for my kindness. I realized that was reaching out to others that could really bring a great moment of happiness, which was benefit to me so much. That day when I appreciated lots of breathtaking paintings. What's more, I learned a valuable lesson from the grateful smile giving by the elderly woman.

    Two months ago my mother and I were walking home from shopping while we noticed a small dog lying sill on the middle of the road. How danger it was! We got closely to him and found that he was badly injured. Saw the poor dog, we decided to help him. Immediately we called a taxi and send him to an animal hospital, where he was examined and received treatment. After staying in hospital for few days, he became good enough to walk. Then we took him home and looked after him carefully until he was fully recovered. Now he is already an important member of our family and brings ourselves a lot of happiness.
