Once upon a time, a young man came across a spring(泉水) of clear water while crossing the desert. The water was very sweet, and he filled his leather container(皮革容器) so that he could bring some{#blank#}1{#/blank#} to his teacher. After a four-day journey, he presented the water to his teacher.

The old man took a deep drink, smiled{#blank#}2{#/blank#} and thanked his

student very much for the sweet water. The young man returned to his village with a happy heart. After a while, the teacher let a{#blank#}3{#/blank#} student taste the water. He spat (吐) it out, saying it was terrible. It was clear that the water had become no longer fresh sweet because of the old leather container. The student questioned his teacher, “Master, the water tasted strange. Why did you still like it?” The teacher replied, “You{#blank#}4{#/blank#} tasted the water while I tasted the gift. The water was the container for an act of love and kindness and nothing could be {#blank#}5{#/blank#} .”

After reading the story, we can understand that when we receive a chocolate as a gift from a child, we get more than the chocolate

{#blank#}6{#/blank#} . What we should do properly is to express {#blank#}7{#/blank#} naturally to him or her because we love the idea within the gift.

Gratitude (感谢) doesn't always come naturally.{#blank#}8{#/blank#} , most children and many grown-ups like only the thing given rather than the {#blank#}9{#/blank#} shown in it. We should remind ourselves and teach our children about the beauty of feelings and{#blank#}10{#/blank#} of gratitude. After all, gifts from the heart are really gifts of the heart.

      Probably you have seen someone reading a book on an electronic reading device. Over the past few years, these small computers have become more popular. Most ebooks are the same as paper books,   {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  people download a file into a reading device rather than   {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  the paper book. This way they can  {#blank#}4{#/blank#}   many books.
      Books companies are adding special features   {#blank#}5{#/blank#}   some ebooks. These extra features might include sound files, picture files, or video files. When the readers click on these files they learn more about the book, the story, or the writer.
    The latest electronic readers are smaller and   {#blank#}6{#/blank#} , but they are also much more powerful. They can store much more information, so writers and book companies can do more with   {#blank#}7{#/blank#}   ebooks. They do not want to just add files to   {#blank#}8{#/blank#}   completed book. They are making the sound, picture, and video files part of the story. Readers need these files to understand the whole story. Readers can {#blank#}9{#/blank#} change the story.
    Readers already have a lot of books to choose from. If they can change the way stories end, they will have more {#blank#}10{#/blank#}  !

    It seems that everywhere around the world, people are sending more time at work {#blank#}1{#/blank#} less time with their families and friends. People are {#blank#}2{#/blank#} than ever before!

    In the past in many countries, the father worked and the mother stayed home, took {#blank#}3{#/blank#} of the children, and did the food shopping, cooking and cleaning.  At present, in most of the families, parents need work on weekdays, so they {#blank#}4{#/blank#} have to do the shopping, cooking and cleaning in their free time. Parents don't have as much time with their {#blank#}5{#/blank#}, however, they often had time in the past. There are also many single-parent（单亲的）families. In these families, the single parents has to do everything.

    These days ,many children come home {#blank#}6{#/blank#} school to an empty apartment or house .A lot of children spend many hours {#blank#}7{#/blank#} day in front of the television .Even the families are together, it is common for families members to do things by themselves. For example, they {#blank#}8{#/blank#} programs on separate TVs in different rooms, they use the Internet, they {#blank#}9{#/blank#} friends on the telephone, and they do other individual by themselves.

    Isn't it strange? Thanks to technology（科技）, people are able to communicate so {#blank#}10{#/blank#} with people far away, but sometimes they don't communicate with people their own homes.
