My feelings about science have{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (complete) changed. More than one science teachers at my new school {#blank#}2{#/blank#} excellent and {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (friend) . The science{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (facility) are very good with laboratories that have all the{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (late) equipment. Our chemistry teacher takes us to public science lectures about four times{#blank#}6{#/blank#} term, {#blank#}7{#/blank#} are always interesting, because the lecturers are famous at their area of science. In the last 20 years, seven Canadian scientists{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (win) the Nobel Prize. Now{#blank#}9{#/blank#} I'm becoming more and more interested in is physics and I want to study it at university. But my parents are {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (astonish), as they always thought I would become an English teacher.

    n America hitching a ride(搭便车) is very common. Many people there love hitching a ride during{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(they) trips. I also once hitched a ride when I was traveling in America.

    I{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(drive) on the road when my car stopped. I was going to a town which was farther than I had expected. My tank(油箱) became empty{#blank#}3{#/blank#}I got there. Standing there, I didn't know what to do. I just knew that I needed help. But I could see nobody around. Who could I turn{#blank#}4{#/blank#}? Then I thought of scenes that I had seen in Hollywood{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(movie). I remembered that people in America loved hitching a ride. I told I myself that I could do that, too.

    So when a car was coming. I tried to hitch a ride. To my joy, the car really stopped in front of me. The driver was{#blank#}6{#/blank#}old man. After{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(know) my problem, he said he could help me out. He took me to the{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(near) gas station. But then he left as he had something important to do.

    I couldn't walk all the way back to my car. Therefore, I tried to hitch a ride again and I{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(help) out once again. I was{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(great) moved.

    About six years ago I was having lunch in New York City{#blank#}1{#/blank#}a woman and a young boy sat down at the next table.I couldn't help{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(overhear) parts of their conversation.At one point the woman asked,"So,how have you been?"And the boy who could not have been more than seven or eight years old replied."{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (frank),I've been feeling a little depressed lately."

    This incident{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(impress) me most because it confirmed my growing{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(believe) that children are changing. As far as I can remember,my friends and I didn't find out we were "depressed"{#blank#}6{#/blank#}we were in high school.

    Undoubtedly,{#blank#}7{#/blank#}change in children has increased steadily in recent years.Children don't seem childlike any more.Children speak,dress and behave more like adults{#blank#}8{#/blank#}they used to.

    {#blank#}9{#/blank#}this is good or bad is difficult to say,but it certainly is different.Childhood as it once was no longer{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (exist).

    I have a degree in business. However, it was my father's decision for me to pursue a business major. Nevertheless, even if my college {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (experience) were fantastic, I still had no interest in any field of commerce, let alone having a long-term career {#blank#}2{#/blank#} a businesswoman.

    After I {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (graduate), I worked as a marketing {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (plan) at a computer company. My pay and working environment were great; however, I still didn't feel happy {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (do) something I wasn't interested in. After two months of working there, I made up my mind {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (quit) and decided to do {#blank#}7{#/blank#} I love, namely teaching English. I have now been an English teacher for over twenty years. I love my job and love being with my students.

    If you are in a place {#blank#}8{#/blank#} you don't love what you are learning or doing, please ask yourself what you are really passionate for, and what you {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (true) want for your life. Don't rush to get yourself a quick answer. Take some time to think about what career could make you happy. The important thing is that you are happy and then you will be able to bring happiness to people around you. There is a quote that says, "Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success." If you love what you are doing, you will be {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (success).
