Chinese are the first people to have tea. One thousand and two hundred years ago, Lu Yu wrote a book called "The Classic of Tea",  {#blank#}1{#/blank#} is honored as "The Bible of Tea". The book gives a detailed {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (explain) of the origin, the processing skills and the classification of tea.

    However, Chinese tea culture goes far beyond tea {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (it). Take green tea for instance, the ideal temperature of the water should be around 80℃. If the water is too hot, nutrients（营养）in the tea {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (destroy). On the other hand, if the water is not hot enough, the tea {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (leaf) won't open up and you will miss the pleasantly fresh flavor. So Chinese people are accustomed {#blank#}6{#/blank#} drinking hot tea. When you visit a Chinese friend, your friend will {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (constant) add hot water to your emptying cup of tea. It is polite {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (offer) the tea cup to guests with both hands. Of course, the guests should pay respect as well {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (take) over the cup with both hands.

    Talking about adding water to the tea cup, there is {#blank#}10{#/blank#} saying: wine full, full cup. Tea half, half cup. For wine, full cup symbolizes whole heartiness. For tea, half, it means modesty.

    There're something you should pay attention to when you're in Thailand.

    There's one thing for sure: Don't touch the head Thai people are very {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (friend). After all, it is known as the “Land of Smiles”, but like any other country there're some customs visitors should follow in case you offend (冒犯) someone unknowingly.

    The head of a person or statue (雕像) in Thailand is regarded as {#blank#}2{#/blank#} most important part of the body. It {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (consider) rude to touch a stranger's head, as it would be in most countries around the world. It is also impolite to touch the head of a statue,{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (especial) a statue of the Buddha (佛). Certainly, close friends {#blank#}5{#/blank#} family members often touch each other's heads or hair,{#blank#}6{#/blank#} is not rude.

    And, of course, another thing is very important: Know where your feet are. Visitors should try to avoid {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (point) their feet directly at another person or Buddha statue. It is also not proper to step over a person or a Buddha statue.{#blank#}8{#/blank#} other words, your feet should always be {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (low) than another person's head.

    Buddhism plays a key role in the country's culture. Therefore {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (tourist) need to show respect towards the religion (宗教).

    Positive thinking does not mean you have to find every idea absolutely wonderful.

    It {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (do) mean you have to be ready to explore an idea and to try and bring out whatever good features it has .The next step might be to find the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (weak) in the idea and to try and strengthen them, rather than use them {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (simple) as an excuse for rejecting the whole idea. There is {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (something) wrong with being positive about an idea at first and then {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (reject) it later, when you see that it won't work.

    It is easy to be negative and critical and too much talent is wasted in negative thinking. It is time we {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (show) less respect for this kind of destructive thinking and focused {#blank#}10{#/blank#} positive thinking more. So remember to think positively.

    I{#blank#}1{#/blank#}（invite）to attend a function（盛大的集会）to celebrate the 25th anniversary of a business{#blank#}2{#/blank#}position was in the west of our city and it was owned by a very good and special friend.

    The day of the celebration arrived. However, because of an appointment taking up some time, I knew that I would be late, so l phoned to tell my friend about it. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}（know）that I was on my way, he put off the official part of the celebration. I arrived 20 minutes late and my friend came out to welcome and greet me. He said he was pleased to see me.

    In his speech, my friend welcomed all the guests{#blank#}6{#/blank#}behalf of his family and team members, and then he{#blank#}7{#/blank#}（sincere）thanked the people who were gathered in the room for their support and friendship over the past 25 years. In his thank-you speech, he used a quote："Always dance with the person you took to the dance."

    He then went on to talk about the importance of remaining{#blank#}8{#/blank#}（faith）to those people who had supported him. He also mentioned that during that time many people had offered their services and even sometimes provided{#blank#}9{#/blank#}better arrangement for his business. What a great honor it was for me{#blank#}10{#/blank#}（continue）to go to the dance with such a good friend!

    Xu Lizhen, a 74-year-old lady, has been acting as a tour guide for nearly 20 years in Yang Shuo, Gui Lin, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} is a city known both in China and abroad for its beautiful landscape. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} she attended only primary school when she was young, she can now speak approximately 11 foreign languages {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (fluent).

    Since 20 years ago, tourists {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (show) affection for Yang Shuo, including a great many foreigners, In order to make a {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (live), Xu Lizhen began to sell water. However, she could hardly make any money at first because foreigners didn't understand her accent. If she came across tourists who can speak both Chinese and a foreign language, she would ask them to translate their words many times so that she could remember them {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (well). Chinese was formally announced an official language of the United Nations World Tourism Organization on January 25.

That means the organization will use the Chinese language, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} will enhance China's soft power in global tourism and, by extension, the cultural domain. It will help China's tourism growth, encouraging other countries {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(adopt) its policies. Tourist places in Chi too will get more exposure. The number of people learning Chinese will {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (definite) grow.

There {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(be) two main reasons for that. First. Chinese cultural and tourism authorities have been promoting Chinese culture for long. As far back as in 2006. Spring Festival was listed as a {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (nation)cultural heritage(文化遗产)and given special {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(protect)and promoted. Now, there are many influential festival {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(list) in the world and almost all of them list the Chinese New Year. or Spring Festival: many even list {#blank#}8{#/blank#} at the top. Second. the year-on-year growth in the number of Chinese tourists before 2020 too has played a part in promoting the Chinese language and culture. Globally. Chinese faces have become common at scenic spots. That has a lot to do {#blank#}9{#/blank#}China's improving economy and the constantly rising per capital income(人均收入).

With China's growing comprehensive capabilities, it {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(hope) that its influence in other soft power domains will also grow.
