Habits and field paths(小径)are formed in the same way: by repetition. Villagers, as a rule, do not purposefully make a foot path to the next village. They just go the shortest or easiest way over the fields. Day after day a people go and come the same way. Their feet beat the earth hard. By their repeated walking in the same direction a path is made. Similarly, the more often we do anything in the same way or at the same time, the more we shall do it that way. At last a habit is formed.

Usually it is much easier to form bad habits than good habits. The reason is simple – we are just lazy. For example, it is easier to lie in bed on a cold morning than to get up early. It is easier to put off today's duties to tomorrow than to do them at the right time.

Bad habits are not formed in a day, and it is the same with good habits. The forming of good habits needs time and calls for effort and hard work at first; but every time we do the right thing, it makes doing the same thing next time much easier. It's really hard to get up early on a cold winter morning for the first time. However, if you keep doing it every day for some time, it will become “a piece of cake” in the end. At last, we form the good habit ,which would be hard to break even if we wanted to break it.

Get into the habit of early rising, and you will not want to lie in bed like a lazybone. Get into the habit of telling the truth, and you will find it really hard to tell a lie. Get into the habit of doing today's work today, and you will feel uncomfortable if you have to put anything off till tomorrow.

The 21st century discoveries about the human brain and its functioning have showed the surprising fact that human abilities are not fixed at birth. In other words, what you are able to do with your life is not fixed when you are born. It is not all in the genes (基 因 ). It is not just nature: nurture (教育, 培育) plays an important part in the moulding (塑造) of what a person is, and what he/she can be.

Brain plasticity (可塑性) or neuroplasticity (神经可塑性) refers to the amazing ability of the human brain to modify (修改) its structure and functions according to the changes within the body and/or in the outer environment.

In his book „The Brain that Changes Itself‟ psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Norman Doidge, M.D., offers an introduction to the great scientists strongly supporting neuroplasticity and the people whose lives they've changed. The book describes real life stories of stroke( 中 风 ) patients learning to speak again, and the amazing story of a woman born with half a brain that restructured itself to work as a whole. It is a book that changes the way we think about our brain, its nature, and its potential (潜能).

The genes we receive from our parents are finite (有限的), no doubt about that. However, our brain's ability to develop is infinite. New brain cells are being born all the time, and to keep them alive and growing, we have to stimulate (刺激) them.

Here lies the promise of neuroplasticity in the moulding of children into adults who are capable of realizing their potential. For, genius is nothing but a human being who has realized his /her inborn potential! What Mozart, Einstein and da Vinci had was inborn potential plus (和,外加) the right environment.

All geniuses started life in exactly the same way. They had parents who supported the development of their individual gifts and talents. They had the right environment and stimuli (刺激, 刺激物) that led to the best development of themselves.

You can think about your child's gifts as the merging (融合的) colours of a rainbow. The possibilities are endless. All children are born with three natural abilities that provide them with the potential to think like a genius: the abilities to think, to learn and to develop their own individual way of thinking and learning.

Can your child be a genius? Yes, he/she can be, if you give him/her the right environment, the right stimuli and the right guidance.

Many people take running as a way to keep fit. They like to run in hot weather and enjoy the feeling of being wet through with sweat (汗) while running. Cold weather during winter months, with low temperatures and freezing cold winds, may keep people from running in the open air.

However, a new study shows that the drop in temperature is a good reason to run. In fact, running in cold weather helps improve one's performance. Many runners might find it easier to run in winter than in hot weather. The body needs less water on a cold day than in warm weather. In addition, lower temperatures reduce stress on the body. When you run in cold weather, your heart rate is lower.

John Brewer is a professor of applied sports science at St. Mary's University in London. For this study, he and other researchers put a group of people into a room where summer and winter weather conditions are recreated. The test subjects were asked to run 10,000 meters under both conditions and their biological measurements were recorded and studied.From the study, every movement runners make produces heat. The heat can be really damaging unless the body can lose it. One way in which people lose heat is by sweating. The body loses heat through sweat. The body also loses it by transporting the blood to the surface of the skin and it puts more stress on the heart, especially in hot conditions because it's much harder to lose heat when the outside environment is warm. As the result shows, running in hot temperatures results in 6 percent higher heat rates.

When running in cold conditions, the body does not have to work hard to move blood to the skin surface. Therefore, it requires less energy. The most important thing for people who run in cold conditions is to wear the right clothing. Keep as dry as possible when exercising in low temperatures. Wear warm and light clothing to keep sweat away from your skin. So don't let winter weather keep you indoors. Simply get ready for the low temperatures and start running.

Walking around the city,you will see girls wearing hanfu on the underground or people wearing T—shirt with Chinese characters in the streets.A new trend (潮流) is getting popular in China.It's guochao or China—Chie.Guochao adds traditional Chinese culture into products

Guochao got people's attention in 2018.Before that,the market was controlled by foreign companies.There were few Chinese brands.To win the market share,many Chinese brands followed the footsteps of these Western brands.In 2018,but also included elements(元素) of traditional Chinese culture.It quickly caught people's attention at home and abroad.And it created amazing sales.

Later,many Chinese brands,from food,started to add Chinese culture into their products.Even the film and music industries made every effort to create Chinese styles."We want our products to be the ones that young people would like to share."They said.

These brands got what they wanted.Young people gradually converted their attention from Western culture to guochao.They accepted it with pleasure.What's more,they started to develop interest in traditional Chinese art and literature.Now they wear traditional clothes,practice Chinese calligraphy(书法)

No matter how guochao develops, there is one thing that won't change——people's confidence in our country's development and culture is growing.
