Do you have true friends? Do you want to know better between you and your friends? There are three different kinds of friends: "pest friends", "guest friends", and "best friends".

The first kind of friends is simply acquaintances (熟人), and all you usually know about them is their names. You may meet this kind of friends at school, at work, or on the bus, but you don't miss them when they're not around. When this kind of friends do something bad, you don't tell them. That is why they are called "pest friends".

The second kind of friends could also be called "social partners". They are closer than acquaintances, but not as close as true friends. You know their names, a little about what they like or dislike, and a little about their family histories; you usually have a few things in common, but you don't talk about anything deep, such as your wishes or fears, and they don't open up to you how they really feel.

The last kind of friends, the "best friends", are the people you know the deepest.

You're like family, and know everything about each other. You have no problem staying at each other's houses, and you share your deepest feelings and thoughts. They will correct you when you're wrong, and though they may not be perfect, they at least will always care about you, and never do anything on purpose (故意地) to hurt you.

We all have our pest, guest, and best friends. We should value (重视) all friendship. Remember, all best friends start out as just acquaintances.

What are the cultural differences between China and the West? You might be able to find the answer in Cao Siyu' s comics(连环漫画).

Cao, 36, was born in Beijing, but left home at 20 and has studied and lived in the US, the UK, and France for 12 years. Having seen so many cultures, Cao wanted to use her drawing skills to show the differences she has experienced. So she created the cartoon series Tiny Eyes Comics.

"My experience shows that although travel is much easier and faster today, the distance(距离)between cultures hasn't shortened,"Cao said. She hopes to build bridges and break down misunderstandings between different cultures. One of her cartoons shows water forms in different countries. Three glasses of water are shown. The glass of water from the US has ice; the one from France is full of sparkling water(苏打水); the one from China is steaming(冒热气的).

Cao also uses her cartoons to show different ways of thinking and social customs. She once used her comics to explain why Chinese people prefer to wear masks while western people don't. "Her simple pictures have played a big part in showing Chinese culture," Italian magazine Grazia reported.

Many foreign readers say that Cao's comics help them understand China, while Chinese living abroad have felt that they are seen and understood. She said that this voice has been the biggest motivation(动力) for her to keep creating.

Scientists are planning the 2030 trip to Mars. It will take astronauts twelve months on the way and eighteen months living on the Red Planet. As well as building a spaceship and creating space stations, scientists must answer another question: what are the astronauts going to eat while they are away?

In 1961, Yuri Gagarin, the first person in space, ate food in tubes (软管). The next astronauts from the US had dried food mixed with water. Today, astronauts take ready-made meals with them. However, the meals will last for only about two years.

Maya Cooper, a researcher from the US, thinks she might have the answer. She studies how to grow plants in some special liquid (液体). And they grow surprisingly well. Maya's idea is for the astronauts to have a greenhouse on Mars. In the greenhouse, they can grow some kinds of plants. They could then prepare their meals with these and other food from the earth. This will help them get enough nutrients (营养物) to stay healthy. In this way, astronauts will be able to live on fruits and vegetables without meat products for the long trip.

Maya also works on menus for the astronauts. She has suggested more than a hundred different dishes, including egg soup and tomato salad. There is even pizza and chips on the menu so that the astronauts won't miss home too much. It is very important to make the Mars trip a success because the astronauts will do some valuable research on Mars. However, people need to solve food problem firstly.

 阅读下面短文, 从每题所给的四个选项A、B、C、D中, 选出最佳选项。

The Museum of Modern Art in New York City. The National Air and Space Museum in Washington. And the German Historical Museum in Berlin.

And those are only part of the list.

Children from more than 180, 000 families in China can now go on virtual(虚拟的) tours of ten world-famous museums. The programs provide video clips, cartoons and commentary(实时解说) by Chinese experts. The shows are produced by Aha School, an education company. The families each pay 15 yuan to watch. The company also gives away the programs to 174 rural(乡村的) classrooms.

Ma Xiaoyan is a teacher in Sichuan. He says the children there are very poor. They have never visited a museum. For some of them, even going to the closest town is difficult.

Educators are excited about the museum project. It shows how live streaming(在线直播) can help improve rural education. The technology is already widely popular on social media. However, it was not until recently that it had been used for education.

Aha School is not alone. A few urban schools in China have also begun sharing their lessons with rural schools. But some of the projects fail to produce the expected effect. That is because students in rural classrooms have very different backgrounds.

The museum project of Aha School has been a success. Pan Lisheng, the head of the company, says the problem doesn't lie in the technology. Instead, it is because few educators have worked out how to make the lessons interesting.

Pan and his workmates make sure that their programs will interest children from any background. "Every child is a unique(独一无二的) flower, " Pan said.
