Little Mermaids Forget Their Worries

Look at their beautiful tails. A high school student learns to swim like a mermaid (美人鱼) in Andrychow, Poland. She is taking a special class. A coach teaches her and other "mermaids". Mermaiding is becoming more and more popular around the world. As mermaids, people can forget about their worries in the real world and just have fun, said Fox News.

From this autumn, primary and middle schools will have labor education (劳动教育) . Every week, students will have at least one class to learn about cooking, raising animals repairing home appliances (维修家电) and more. This is to enrich Chinese students' life and build their character. Chinese school education didn't give a lot of thought to this in the past. According to a report, Chinese kids only do 12 minutes of practical activity each day, while US kids do 1. 2 hours each day, China Daily noted.

Loving Our Food Culture

Do you know the most famous dishes in your hometown? To let students explore (探索) the local food, Golden Apple Jincheng No. I Secondary School from Chengdu, Sichuan, held an activity. It asked students to draw the food map of Sichuan and make a popular Sichuan food: pickles (泡菜) . By doing these things, students learned both geography and biology.
