One day when I was five years old, my mother took me to a swimming pool. She wanted to teach me how to swim.{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (sad), I was almost drowned(淹死，溺死).{#blank#}2{#/blank#} I was rescued by a man, my mother was so {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(frighten) that she decided never to let me get close to a swimming pool again.{#blank#}4{#/blank#}, I thought quite differently. Instead of letting that horrible incident create more fear around water for me, I decided to become a good {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(swim). After I told my mother about that, she thought I was right and {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(agree). So I started to learn how to swim again. My mother became more careful and I was not in danger again. Later I became {#blank#}7{#/blank#} interested in swimming that I decided to compete in swimming events. After years of efforts, my dream came true. I was the first African American {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(win) an Olympic Gold Medal in swimming. I did so at both 2008 and 2012 Olympics.

    Now I spend much of my time {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (help) children learn how to swim. Hundreds of children each year drown in the United States.{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (learn) how to swim can prevent 80% of these tragedies.

    Nowadays, in my spare time, I prefer to go outdoors and spend my time in some different places and with some different people.

Most of the time I just sit in the classroom, listening {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the teachers and doing my homework. The indoor activities are too {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(limit). The second reason is that fresh air, sunlight and enough physical exercise {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(need) for a healthy body. So when I am free, I should go out. And the {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(three) one is that I want to have more {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(experience) in my life. When you go out, far away from your daily life, you will meet a lot of people who are quite different from you. It will give you a lot of {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(beauty) moments.

    {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(do) outdoor activities, however, will take a lot of money and energy. So if you have not prepared enough, having some amusement indoors is also {#blank#}9{#/blank#} good choice. It may be much cheaper and easier {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(carry) out. Reading some books and enjoying music are also very good.

    Believe it or not, have you ever noticed that you feel happier and more relaxed after you eat bread, pasta or fruit?     I never thought that little help would turn out to be the most satisfying thing I have ever done. He was tired, in pain and struggling to climb farther.     In 1982, July 1^st was officially established as Canada Day. Various events are organized on this day, {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(include) parades, concerts, festivals and firework displays, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} gather Canadians of all ages across the country.

    Canada Day is the year's biggest national party.     Many organizations, businesses and stores are closed on this day. Only some bookstores, hospitals and gas stations may be open. Post offices are closed, too. There are many kinds of festivals throughout the world. October 2 is a national festival{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (honour) Mohandas Gandhi. who helped India become an {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (depend) country.  And in China the Spring Festival, {#blank#}7{#/blank#} is celebrated in January or February, is{#blank#}8{#/blank#}most energetic and important festival because it is a festival that {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (look) forward to the coming of spring. Why are all these festivals everywhere？Because during the festivals, people can get together to eat, drink and have fun with each other, {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (forget) all the daily struggles and demands for a while.
