Traditional Chinese wedding

    Traditional Chinese wedding customs are considered as the foundation of rites in traditional Chinese culture. Although varying from region to region and time to time，they have been holding an essential position in the lives of Chinese people，{#blank#}1{#/blank#}（cause） a far-reaching impact on the way the Chinese lead their lives．The traditional Chinese marriage usually {#blank#}2{#/blank#} （involve） some necessary procedures，such as match-making，engagement，meeting the bride，and three bows．{#blank#}3{#/blank#} addition，a typical Chinese wedding nowadays goes like this：when a new couple is engaged，{#blank#}4{#/blank#} follows is a {#blank#}5{#/blank#} （choose） of the date of their marriage．

    Most people would favor a bank holiday or special Chinese festival for their relatives and friends {#blank#}6{#/blank#} （attend） the wedding．However，quite a few others，especially{#blank#}7{#/blank#}are in the countryside，would fix a lucky date so that their marriage would have "Double Happiness"．The wedding ceremony is usually hosted {#blank#}8{#/blank#} （warm），and the wedding ceremony very often ends with {#blank#}9{#/blank#} unique banquet．Toasts are made to wish the new couple long life，everlasting love and happiness，early birth of a {#blank#}10{#/blank#}（health） baby and so on．

    On Monday, World Health Organization (WHO) stated a plan to rid the world's food supply of trans fats（反式脂肪）. These unhealthy things have been related to many illnesses. WHO is a United Nations organization {#blank#}1{#/blank#} works to improve good health around the world. Its plan is called REPLACE. The step-by-step guide is designed {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (help) world governments remove trans fats {#blank#}3{#/blank#} their foods within the next five years.

    Trans fats {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (use) in baked goods and fried foods. Food companies use trans fats to keep foods for longer periods of time. But the things can be deadly. WHO says that{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(eat) foods with trans fats results in more than 500,000 deaths from heart disease every year. Trans fats are a harmful substances and can be removed {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (easy) without major cost and without any effect on the quality of the foods.

    Denmark {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (be) the first country to ban trans fats 15 years ago. The United States and 40 other {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (country) soon followed. “Why should our children have such {#blank#}9{#/blank#} unsafe substance in their foods?” Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus asked in an interview. He is WHO's director-general. He said that the plan could “make food systems much {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (healthy) for future generations.”

    The year of 2014 was pretty tough for Stevens. Unfortunate{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(event) happened to him one after another. He lost all his wealth and couldn't pay for his insurance, but there was even {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(bad) news to come. He had skin cancer, {#blank#}3{#/blank#}made him ready to give up.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(lucky), he managed to find a job later and moved into a new home. He wrote in his blog, "My wife had told me many times she wished she could visit New York one day. To make a surprise for his wife, Stevens sent her off for a trip to New York City.

    Then, he went crazy building the garden. After ten days, all the work {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (pay) off. It made a big difference to Stevens' life. He wrote, "The kids love  {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (they) new space. And I feel strangely{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (satisfy) to build this, which inspires me to keep going."

    Many of you fail to seek your purpose in life. You dream and then follow it up with a list of reasons {#blank#}1{#/blank#} the dream is unachievable. You fill your life with different {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (excuse) and "I can't", which gradually leave your dreams {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (break).

    Many great companies came from a dream, were nurtured (培育) in a garage or basement and {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (grow) to be traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Why not you? Why not your dream? The only true limits you experience in life are those you create or those you allow others {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (put) on you. If you can dream it, you can do it!

    Dreaming is the easy part while {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (act) on the dream is hard. Recognize that a dream is {#blank#}7{#/blank#} journey. On the simplest level, it takes time, desire, and courage. But rarely is something great {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (easy) realized. Dreaming is recognizing and believing the potential for greatness and seeking it in all areas of your life. Believe in your dreams and your ability to realize {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (they). Keep your dreams {#blank#}10{#/blank#} front of you. Do not be afraid to dream. Never forget, if you can dream it, you can do it!
