Everyone needs friends. But how do you find real friendship and keep it?

      The American writer Sally Seamans tells young students some smart ways to find friends. Sally says founding friendship is just like planting a tree. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} 

      First, you should choose a friend. What makes a good friend? It is not because a person has money or good looks. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} For example, if you have a bad day, a good friend could listen to your complaints (抱怨) and do his or her best to help you. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} You should make each other happy and share your lives.

       But things cannot always be happy. Even the best friends have fights. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} You have to talk to him or her. When there is no one around, have a good talk. If he or she doesn't want to talk, you can write a letter.

       There are three steps to be friends again:

       Tell him or her how you are feeling. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Remember that friendship is one of the most important things in your life.

    Making money isn't just for adults. Kids can do it, too. Making money gives you more than money.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}By working to make your own money, you'll learn how to succeed in the world. This includes dealing with money, understanding and getting along with other people.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

    Collect soft drink bottles. You can sell the collected bottles and use the money to buy a new basketball.{#blank#}3{#/blank#}.

Make greeting cards. If you are good at drawing, try making special cards. You can sell your cards to make money

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#}You may have some books that you have read but you don't want to keep. Then you can sell them to make money.

    In traditional Chinese medicine, food is divided (划分) into two types; hot and cold. Both kinds of food affect (影响) your body {#blank#}1{#/blank#} different ways, So, having 57. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} balanced diet is safe and {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (health) for your body.

    On  {#blank#}6{#/blank#} other hand, too much cold food like tomatoes and potatoes can also cause problems. It may make your hands and  {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (foot) cold. It also makes your body temperature lower.

    Besides what we eat, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} we eat is also important. You should always sit down and chew (咀嚼) carefully. Don't make {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (you) busy with other things, such as watching TV or {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (read) a newspaper. Finally, it's best to eat three meals a day at regular times.

This month, we went on a five day trip to Xishuangbanna, a beautiful place in the south of Yunnan Province. The weather there is hot and wet. There a {#blank#}1{#/blank#} many kinds of plants and animals. I want to i {#blank#}2{#/blank#} some interesting things we saw to you during our trip.

In the jungle(丛林), we saw a twining(缠绕的)plant. These P {#blank#}3{#/blank#} grow when seeds-seeds mainly from banyan tees (榕树)are moved by animals or wind to some other trees. These seeds gradually grow, developing their own aerial (空气的) roots. Little by lite, they will get themselves around the host tree and f {#blank#}4{#/blank#} kill it, just like a snake kills its enemy.

A {#blank#}5{#/blank#} thing we learned is that when a tree gets big and strong, some of its aerial roots will grow into the ground and develop into a new tee, just like the way cell division (细胞分裂) works. The w {#blank#}6{#/blank#} tree will look like a small forest. I think this is quite a {#blank#}7{#/blank#}.

In the forest, you will sometimes find some red leaves among the green leaves. Why is that?

One reason is that the sunshine is very strong in Yunnan. The trees n {#blank#}8{#/blank#} use all of their leaves in order to do photosynthesis (光合作用) and grow, so the color of some of the leaves c {#blank#}9{#/blank#}to red.

We really enjoyed our trip to Yunnan. We learned a lot about n {#blank#}10{#/blank#} and had a rally fun time. I hope we can take more trips like this in the future.
