Today, after finishing dinner in town, my husband and I were driving back home. As we pulled over, we saw a couple painting their furniture.

    I went inside our home, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (change) and then went back out again to ask our neighbors if they needed any help. While leaving my home, I was plagued (困扰) by thoughts of {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (embarrass), denial, or being received. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}, I gathered the courage to go down and ask {#blank#}4{#/blank#} ,anyway!

    Initially, the woman denied. Then, the man said, “Sure”, and he handed me a spray paint bottle. We got into some good conversations {#blank#}5{#/blank#} painting with great effort.  When we finished, I briefly chatted with them before leaving.

    In the end, not only {#blank#}6{#/blank#} I enjoy helping them, but also learned about my neighbors. {#blank#}7{#/blank#} the way home, I must admit, I couldn't help but wonder {#blank#}8{#/blank#} they might be thinking about me.  {#blank#}9{#/blank#} is tough to do a good deed for others and not expect that they will be thinking good about you.

    Today's experience taught me some  {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (value) lessons in my life! Hopefully, these lessons will help me continue my acts of kindness in future.

    A visit to Sydney had long been my dream. So I was {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (excite) when offered the opportunity to go. I arrived {#blank#}2{#/blank#}Sydney around 9:00 a.m. After {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(check) in a lovely apartment, I headed to the seaside and couldn't resist {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (enjoy) the beauty of Sydney. Sydney is famous for its many beautiful {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (beach). Among them, Manly, {#blank#}6{#/blank#} is located on the north part of Sydney, is {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (probable) the biggest one. If you go there, you can not only see the Manly Ferry from the Circular Quay {#blank#}8{#/blank#} also enjoy very beautiful scenery of the Sydney Opera House and Harbor Bridge along the way. If you like surfing, Bondi Beach is a perfect place to go, although it is actually{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(small) than Manly. Apart from the beaches, you can take a visit to the Royal Botanic Garden to admire the view of the harbor or visit the Art Galley to appreciate the works. You will find your interesting tourist attractions here. Definitely, Sydney is so {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (fascinate) that it is worth going.

    My friend had a chance to make a trip to Hong Kong {#blank#}1{#/blank#} August 15, 2011. He had dreamed about {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (visit) it since his boyhood and it {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (be) the first time that he had been there. The following was {#blank#}4{#/blank#} he had seen.

    Arriving there, he was happy {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (see) its beautiful scenery and tall buildings. It is said that Hong Kong has the most skyscrapers in the world. Wherever he went, he saw many smiling {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (face) there. People in Hong Kong were easygoing and{#blank#}7{#/blank#} (friend). To {#blank#}8{#/blank#}（he）surprise, he saw that people there always kept order in public places. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} there were many people waiting in line for the next train at the subway station, they tried to talk in a low voice in order not to disturb(打扰) others. Chinese and English are their official(官方的) languages. English is {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (wide) used in governments, markets, service centers and other fields.

    It's so close, and yet it always seemed so far away. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(get) to the rural district just a few hundred {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(meter) away on the other side of the bay, native people used to have to jump on a boat or drive about 160 kilometers－part of that journey on {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(dust) road.

    Now anyone wanting to get from downtown Maputo, capital of Mozambique, to Katembe, or vice versa, can do so easily, and in a matter of minutes, thanks to the longest twin­tower suspension bridge in Africa, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} hangs over Maputo Bay.

    "Mozambique had long planned to build a bridge linking the north and south of the bay, but nothing came of them because {#blank#}5{#/blank#} a lack of money and technology,"  said Wang Lijun, vice­president of China Road and Bridge Corporation (公司), which built {#blank#}6{#/blank#} bridge.

    The Maputo­Katembe Bridge, {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(open) in November after four years of construction, is part of the Maputo Bridge and Link Roads project which {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(build) by CRBC. It {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(be) 187 kilometers long and serves as an important highway that directly links Maputo to the border with South Africa, to the south.

    "By night, when the lights are on, it's {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(especial) impressive," Wang said, and as a landmark it could help develop tourism and attract overseas investment for Mozambique.
