Can you imagine the world full of crying and shouting, covered in darkness? However, it's not just a joke. It's a real {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (describe) of a world without happiness and laughter.

    If you compare our life to a pie, what would you put in if you were in charge of making the pie?{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (obvious), many people would add as much happiness as possible. Do you know why? It's {#blank#}3{#/blank#} happiness stands for sweetness in most people's minds.

    Don't think of it just as a comparison. Happiness is a flower {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (live) in the sunshine, and it is not difficult to reach for it. We have a variety of {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (emotion) like sadness, anger, fear, enthusiasm and happiness, and they all appear naturally when something {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(affect) our feelings. So, if we can change our attitude {#blank#}7{#/blank#}things in the world, we can certainly adjust our emotions. It means that we can choose to be happy if we want to, as long as we view everything in {#blank#}8{#/blank#} positive way.

    Iceland is a land of volcanoes. Nowhere is {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（evident） than on the Westman Islands off the southern coast of Iceland. Here, {#blank#}2{#/blank#}（century） of volcanic eruptions formed many eye-catching sea cliffs （悬崖）, among {#blank#}3{#/blank#} one stands out: A part of the volcano-formed coast on Heimaey looks exactly like the head of a large elephant {#blank#}4{#/blank#}（stick）its trunk in the water.

    In fact, it looks so much like an elephant that many people think it must have been shaped by humans. That is not {#blank#}5{#/blank#} case, however. The elephant's realistic {#blank#}6{#/blank#}（appear）is, at least partially, due to the fact that the cliff {#blank#}7{#/blank#}（consist）of a special rock. The rock gives the figure "skin" that looks wrinkled and gray, just like that of a real elephant.

    The most common theory is that the rock formations came from the Eldfell Volcano, which {#blank#}8{#/blank#}（erupt）many times since the 1940s.

    In spite of the strong resemblance to an elephant, some people {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（actual）see something different when they look at the rock formation. They see the fictional character Cthulhu, a sea beast.

    Whether you see an elephant {#blank#}10{#/blank#} a fictional beast, as one of many attractions on Heimaey, the rock does draw curious sightseers.

    Big Ben is one of London's best-known landmarks, which is {#blank#}1{#/blank#} nickname of a bell hanging in the clock tower at the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (north) end of the Houses of Parliament in Westminster, London. Some believe it got {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (it) name from Sir Benjamin Hall. Officially, the tower itself is called Elizabeth Tower. It was {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (previous) known as just the Clock Tower, but was renamed in September 2012 in honor of Queen Elizabeth II. However, most people, {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (include) those that live in London, call the tower "Big Ben", because it is very large.

    Designed by Edmund Beckett Denison, the clock took 13 years to build and it {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (complete) in 1859. It has worked continuously since then except for a few months in 1976 when it {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (break) down and had to be fixed. Since August 2017, repair work is being done on the clock, which will take four years. For the {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (safe) of those doing this work, Big Ben no longer rings out every hour. It will still be heard {#blank#}9{#/blank#} special occasions, such as the New Year and Remembrance Day.

    The Elizabeth Tower has become one of the most important {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (symbol) of the United Kingdom and is often in the establishing shot of films set in London.

    Steam trains were replaced by electric ones many years ago, so when the newspaper I worked for {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (hear) that the Admiral steam engine had been restored (恢复), they decided to send me on {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (it) first trip. I wanted to go even though I {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(general) disliked travelling by train. In fact, I was looking forward to {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (see) something I had never seen before.

I settled myself into a compartment (列车车厢) where I was soon joined by an old man {#blank#}7{#/blank#} claimed to be one of the original workers on the Admiral. He told me how much he had hated being covered in coal dust all {#blank#}8{#/blank#} time. His family had been too poor to buy more things {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the basic necessities. It was a pleasure to listen to him. At every station, people were waiting to greet the train, and it was {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(excite) to see their faces as the past seemed to come alive again.

Coffee is probably world's least expensive success power tool to increase focus, drive and even the life span. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(fortunate) we may not be enjoying its benefits or pleasure too much longer. According to ecologists，there is a good chance {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the varieties of coffee that we drink today {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(be) extinct in 20 or 30 years. The problem, of course, is the pace of climate change.

Coffee is a crop that is only grown in a thin band {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(call) the "coffee belt" close to equator(赤道), which is extremely vulnerable(易受...伤害的) to climate change. If the air is too hot {#blank#}5{#/blank#} too cold, it prevents the growth of coffee plant. Climate change also creates {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(environment) stress, which spreads pests and plant diseases. Almost all the coffee grown in the world today is one of two species, arabica or robuasta, both of {#blank#}7{#/blank#} might be wiped out in this way. There are other species existing only in Ethiopia, {#blank#}8{#/blank#}country that climate change is happening. In other words, climate change is eating away the root source that we might turn to {#blank#}9{#/blank#}replacement species.
