However, friendship is still of great importance and not having a friend is something to be {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(concern) about. Most people look upon friends as someone they can depend on when they are going {#blank#}5{#/blank#}times of trouble. In such times, friends provide them with emotional support and sometimes financial help. It is in these troubled times {#blank#}6{#/blank#} they find out who their true friends are. As an old saying {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(go), in times of prosperity, friends will be plenty; in times of {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(suffer), not one in twenty. And there is another saying {#blank#}9{#/blank#} says you can hardly make a friend in a year, but you can easily upset one in an hour. Behind the popularity of emojis is the rise of young people {#blank#}5{#/blank#}welcome new technology and new {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (invention). So the reason why young people as well as others love to emoji is that they show meaning {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (beautiful). When young people are asked what makes the generation unique,{#blank#}8{#/blank#} put “technology use “ first.

    Now emojis are in much {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (wide) use than written words. As {#blank#}10{#/blank#}result, people began to doubt whether it has made up a too large part in our online communication.

    Yesterday was a crazy day. I felt very tired {#blank#}1{#/blank#}I had a lot of work stuff going. Then I got {#blank#}2{#/blank#} message from one of my teammates. It said, “ We want to let you know that there are people who see and {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(true)appreciate all your hard work.” This meant more to {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(I)than anything else .     For Nigel Portman, a love of travelling began with what's called a "gap year". In common with many other British teenagers, he chose{#blank#}1{#/blank#}（take） a year out before settling down to study for his degree. After doing various{#blank#}2{#/blank#} （job） to raise some money,  he left home to gain some experience of life in different cultures, visiting America and Asia. In other words, he'll be relying{#blank#}7{#/blank#}（main） on bicycles and his own legs; and when there's an ocean to cross, he won't be taking a shortcut（捷径）{#blank#}8{#/blank#}flying aboard﹣he'll be joining the crew of a sailing ship, instead.

    As well as doing some mountain climbing along {#blank#}9{#/blank#}way, Nigel hopes to pass on to the people he meets the environmental message {#blank#}10{#/blank#}lies behind the whole idea.

    Chinese double amputee (截肢) climber Xia Boyu received the most votes {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (global) to become the 2019 Laureus Sporting Moment of the Year winner on Monday.

    Xia came out from an initial list of 10 nominees before three finalists were made {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (know) to the public earlier this month.

    Xia had lost both his legs in 1975 during his first attempt to reach {#blank#}3{#/blank#} world's highest peak of Qomolangma due to frostbite. He challenged the summit in 2014, 2015 and 2016 {#blank#}4{#/blank#} well, but his dreams {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (break) owing to avalanche, earthquake and bad weather respectively.

    Xia finally made {#blank#}6{#/blank#} in his fifth attempt on May 14, 2018, becoming the first Chinese double amputee climber {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (reach) the summit of Qomolangma.

    "Climbing to the summit of Qomolangma is always a dream and goal for me. I {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (fight) for it over the past decades. Despite bad knocks several times, I never gave up. I think the determination made my life so colorful and {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (meaning)," Xia told Chinese media.

    Xia added that his next goal will be "7+2", namely the highest summits of seven {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (continent), plus the South Pole and North pole.
