In1997, Bobbi McCaughey gave birth to seven babies. They all survived(存活). This autumn, McCaughey's children are preparing to have {#blank#}1{#/blank#}18th birthday.

    Eighteen years ago, the birth of McCaughey's seven children was huge news across the world. Bill Clinton, American President at that time,{#blank#}2{#/blank#} the family and congratulated them. Doctors worried that they wouldn't survive their first few days, but they did. Many people helped them and they grew up{#blank#}3{#/blank#}.

    What will our world be like in 2050？We asked a group of experts to make their predictions about our future．

    By 2050 we will have"clever"{#blank#}1{#/blank#}．We won't have so many accidents，{#blank#}2{#/blank#} they will be able to communicate with each other．Cars will slow down by themselves or stop in{#blank#}3{#/blank#} situations．Also，our cars will {#blank#}4{#/blank#} on electricity or water．

    By 2050 our homes will be more eco﹣friendly （环保）．We will use solar （太阳的） energy，and we will clean and {#blank#}5{#/blank#} our water．There will be many more people in the world {#blank#}6{#/blank#}our houses will be smaller．Many houses will be underground and we will have {#blank#}7{#/blank#} to help clean，cook and do {#blank#}8{#/blank#}home shopping．

    We won't die!We will put our brains onto computers and live {#blank#}9{#/blank#}．The computers of the future won't look like machines．They'll look like humans．

    By 2050 there will be too many people on the earth and {#blank#}10{#/blank#}100 million people will be living on the moon and other planets．We will be able to travel to Mars and back in just three days．

    I have never felt{#blank#}1{#/blank#}for myself and I enjoy being able to meet people in places I can't reach.

    I enjoy writing to anyone in any country. I don't need to play with them or talk with them{#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

    I keep all of the letters from pen friends. That way I can read them again. I also enjoy sending small{#blank#}3{#/blank#}to my pen friends.

    I like to write to my pen friends because that would give me a chance to make more friends{#blank#}4{#/blank#}the world. This has become a very important part in my life.
