        Linda and Betty were both nineteen years old. In June, after a school year was over, they decided to take a vacation{#blank#}1{#/blank#} . They went to several towns and villages, visited some places of interest, saw and heard a lot of interesting things. They{#blank#}2{#/blank#}   very much.

One afternoon, they were going to stay overnight in a small town. It was too {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  to go further and they wished they could find a river and swim in the cool water. They looked around and found a woman sitting on a stone and fishing there. "Why didn't you tell us about it{#blank#}8{#/blank#}   we took off our clothes?" Betty said angrily.    "But it isn't forbidden to take off clothes by the lake," said the woman.

Why do we wear clothes? You may think it is an easy question. But there are many{#blank#}1{#/blank#}why people wear clothes. In the past, many Europeans and Americans believed that people wore their clothes {#blank#}2{#/blank#} they didn't want other people to see their {#blank#}3{#/blank#} bodies. Today we believe that people first started {#blank#}4{#/blank#} clothes to {#blank#}5{#/blank#} themselves from the sun, the wind, the rain, the cold and other bad weather.

    This is my desk. Two{#blank#}1{#/blank#}  are on it. One is my English book, and the other (另一本) is my math book. You can also see (也能看见){#blank#}2{#/blank#}CDs  on the desk. The CDs are {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. My pencil box is on the desk,{#blank#}4{#/blank#}. A pen,{#blank#}5{#/blank#}  eraser and a ruler {#blank#}6{#/blank#}  in it. The pen is black, the{#blank#}7{#/blank#}  is yellow, and the ruler is white.  {#blank#}8{#/blank#}  is my pencil? Aha, it's under the desk. Is my computer game  {#blank#}9{#/blank#}the desk，too? No, it isn't. Where is it? I can't{#blank#}10{#/blank#}it in my room.
