A festival for the Dead is held once a year in Japan. This is a traditional festival in Japan and many {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(celebrate) are held. This festival is a cheerful occasion. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}this day, the dead are said to return to their homes and they are welcomed by the living. As they are expected to be {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(hunger) after their long journey, food is laid out for them. Specially-made lanterns are hung outside each house {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(help) the dead to find their way. All night long, people dance and sing. In the early morning, the food that has been laid out for the dead is {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(throw) into a river or into the sea as {#blank#}6{#/blank#}is considered unlucky for anyone living to eat it. In towns{#blank#}7{#/blank#}are near the sea, the small lanterns hung in the streets the night before are placed into the water when the festival is over. Thousands of lanterns slowly drift（漂）out to sea {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(guide) the dead on their return journey to the other world. At {#blank#}9{#/blank#}same time, crowds of people stand on the shore watching the lanterns drifting away  {#blank#}10{#/blank#}they can be seen no more.

    The word Nushu literally means “women's writing” in Chinese: As the name suggests, Nushu is created and specially used by women.

    Often {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（call） “the world's only surviving characters for women”, these slim words were developed from standard written Chinese. In the old days, Nushu {#blank#}2{#/blank#}（teach）by elderly women to girls at home because female children weren't allowed {#blank#}3{#/blank#}（attend）formal school. During gatherings in villages, women used the characters to .write poems or song lyrics to express their emotions {#blank#}4{#/blank#} were hidden from men. The words were full {#blank#}5{#/blank#} encouragement and positive energy, and showed an uncommon open-mindedness among women at that time.

    Ji Xianlin once said that Nushu is a feminist（女权主义者）symbol. “It's {#blank#}6{#/blank#} unique writing system created by {#blank#}7{#/blank#}（talent）women who were deprived（剥夺）of the right to education,” he wrote in an article. “It has significance in various {#blank#}8{#/blank#}（field）and represents Chinese people's strong spirit.”

    Nushu was made as a national cultural heritage in 2006. However, it is not {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（wide）used in daily life today. In fact, it is a dying language. Now linguists are taking action to prevent this incredible cultural heritage from{#blank#}10{#/blank#}（disappear）.

    When I was 14 years old, my best friend {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (drag) me to an after-school dance class, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} I enjoyed so much that I have been dancing ever since. After every dance class, however, I always have to stretch out my legs and back!     Chinese cartoon film Ne Zha has proved to be a big winner in this summer's box office. This film, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (loose) based on the novel Fengshen Yanyi, is about an imaginary figure who fights against unfair fate.

    In the novel, Ne Zha is a naughty teenager, who kills {#blank#}2{#/blank#} gets in his way. His father, a {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (command) who governs the port of Chen Tang Guan, forces Ne Zha to kill himself over an error. Ne Zha is reborn as a three-headed, six-armed god {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (ride) on two magical "wind-and-fire" wheels to fight his enemies.

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (direct) by Yang Yu, the film describes Ne Zha {#blank#}6{#/blank#} a lovely little boy who has to overcome prejudice and his dark fate to become a hero. "I wanted to change the telling of the original story." says Yang. In the movie, born as a demon, Ne Zha is {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (fair) treated by local villagers who believe that he will grow up to be a public threat. {#blank#}8{#/blank#}, he never gives in and believes that he is the master of his own destiny.

    Li Baochuan, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} expert in animation at Hangzhou Normal University, says Ne Zha shows the development of animation techniques in China and {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (reduce) the gap with the world's best.
