Chinese dishes are very different in the north and south. But there is one kind of dish that is in most parts of China. It is baozi. Chinese President Xi Jinping once evenin a restaurant and bought some baozi.
Baozi are usually with vegetables or pork and wrapped in a soft flour shell. They are made in different sizes. The smallest is Xiaolongbao. Each one comes in a bite-sized form.
The fillings of baozi are also. Vegetables and meat are common. In the south, many people alsosweet fillings such as sugar in baozi. Some baozi even have inside; for example, steamed juicy buns. People use a straw to drink the soup before eating it. The trick to cooking steamed juicy buns is to put a jelly made of gravy inside it first. The jelly melts steamed, giving people a juicy taste. Although most baozi are steamed, some are in a different way. Shengjianbao is fried. People love its crispy shell and golden color.
Baozi is important to Chinese people. It is one of China's most popular , the Xinhua News Agncy reported. Many also like baozi. They call them dumplings.

Chen Zijiang is a paper cutting expert whom I interviewed for my article on Chinese Art. Paper-cutting is something that he learned to do from an early age.
"It is a Chinese folk art with a long history," Mr. Chen told me, "Paper cuts of animals have been found in tombs. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}" He added that by the Southern Song Dynasty, paper-cutting had become an important part of everyday life.

Paper cuts for decoration are often seen, on windows and gates. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}They are also used on presents. A present for parents whose child has recently been born might show a paper cut of children, for example. Paper cuts which show the Chinese character for double happiness are often used to celebrate weddings.
