根据短文内容回答下列问题

On Friday, 7 June, an Italian Airlines flight was ready to leave Rome for Tokyo in Japan. All the passengers were on the plane. The departure time was 21:00. The seatbelt signs were turned on, so passengers were not allowed to stand up and had to stay in their seats. Then something unusual happened.

A woman decided that she had to go to the toilet. So she got up and walked to the back of the plane. The toilet door was clearly marked ‘TOILET', but the woman opened a door next to the toilet. This door was the emergency exit and, when she opened it, theevacuation slide (逃生滑梯) opened. Because of this, the plane was not able to take off.

All the passengers had to leave the plane. When the evacuation slide has opened, there are two possibilities. Workers can change the slide at the airport, but the flight will be delayed for a long time. Or the plane can take off without an evacuation slide and replace it when it has landed, but the number of passengers on the plane must be smaller for safety reasons.

Thirty-eight passengers had to stay at a hotel at the Airport and take another flight the next day. The other passengers got back on the plane, and it finally took off at 05:10 on Saturday morning. It arrived in Tokyo at 14:10. Some passengers found that their luggage was still in Italy. But perhaps they were lucky …

(1)、What city was the ItalianAirlines flight ready to fly to?
(2)、Passengers on the planewere allowed to stand up and walk about, weren't they?
(3)、Why was the flight delayed?
(4)、In what situation can theplane take off without the evacuation slide?

    What is a hurricane?

You may already know that hurricanes are storms that can cause devastating (毁灭性的) waves, wind, and rain. They happen during “Hurricane Season,” which is from June 1st until November 30th in the Atlantic Ocean and from May 15th until November 30th in the Pacific Ocean.

    Types of Hurricanes

There are five types of hurricanes, which are based on wind speeds. The categories help people know how much damage a hurricane may cause because the greater the wind speed, the more dangerous the storm. For example, a Category 5 hurricane has winds over 155 miles per hour, which are strong enough to destroy the buildings along the shorelines completely.

    Hurricane Dangers

When a hurricane happens together with heavy rainfall, there can be a devastating flood. The centre of a hurricane is called the eye. While most of a hurricane has dangerously strong winds, the eye is actually a calm area in the storm. When the eye of a hurricane passes over land, people might think that it's over, but before long the wind and rain increase again as the second part of the hurricane moves through.

    Hurricane Safety Tips

There is no way to stop a hurricane or make it change direction, so if you ever find yourself in the path of a hurricane, be sure to remember the following safety tips.

Be sure you have a radio, batteries, fresh drinking water, and enough food.

Tell neighbours, friends, and family members your emergency plans. Tell them where you'll go if you need to leave your home.

If you live near the ocean, leave your home and travel to a safe place. You could stay with a friend or a family member, in a hotel/motel, or in an emergency shelter area.

Stay inside during the storm. You could be seriously injured if you go outside.

Humans can't stop natural disasters because we can't stop the power(力量) of nature.

For example, a flood comes when there is too much water on the land. Sometimes, it can come after a big rainstorm at sea. Then too much sea water comes onto the land. Fast moving flood can hurt us. It can also hurt our homes. We can't stop the water from coming, but we can try to stop the water by making a wall with sandbags. Sometimes, the sandbags help stop the water. Sometimes they don't.

An earthquake happens where land moves. The land goes up and down and all around. The land shakes. We may be hurt by things that fall down in an earthquake. Falling things can start fires. We can't stop an earthquake from coming. We can try to make our homes strong in order to prevent them from falling down in an earthquake.

A tornado(龙卷风) is fast air that goes around and around over the land. A tornado can pick up everything. It can break anything in the way. A typhoon is a big storm with fast moving wind and rain. It begins at sea and can come onto the land. Its fast winds can hurt us and our homes.

We can't stop the power of nature, but we can go to places where we will feel safe.

Joining a short-term research program in China has not only allowed Pakistani agricultural scientist Sayyar Khan to push forward with his academic studies, but also given him a chance to see a country he had heard so much about.

Khan is now doing a one-year research program at the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences. The program is sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology and many young talented scientists who come from collaborating countries, such as Pakistan, are given opportunities to work in China.

Although this is his first visit to China Khan says he is well-informed of the long friendship between China and Pakistan. He is impressed most by the cooperation (合作) in education between China and Pakistan. especially since the start-up of the Belt and Road Initiative ("一带一路"建设) in 2013.

"Many students from my university and my city have visited China and completed their higher education here." he says, adding that he has met with many of them.

"I hear news about China on television and read about it in print media, so I know of the rapid development of China in recent decades."

Khan says the Belt and Road Initiative will have a very positive effect on the world.

"I hope that I can stay in China to participate in such cooperation projects." he says. Khan says life in Beijing is much easier than he'd expected, thanks to the convenient(便利的)public transportation and restaurants offering food for Muslims(穆斯林). This encouraged him to bring his family to live with him a couple of months ago.

He says that language is the only challenge for them so far. However, he finds no problem talking with his Chinese colleagues, many of whom speak good English. He also enjoys the relaxing working environment and has a very good relationship with his co-workers.
