In my spoken English class, I asked the students about their university life. To my surprise, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} . After their highly controlled(控制) high school lives, they were having difficulty getting used to (习惯) the free time in the university. When I asked them to describe their high school lives, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} they got up at six in the morning and studied until ten or even later at night. Most of this time was spent doing lots of homework.
When they entered the university, in my opinion,{#blank#}3{#/blank#} to spend all their waking hours studying. They should also take an active part in social activities. They should learn to divide their time outside of class between sport sand clubs. What's more, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} watching TV and chatting with their roommates. But what surprised me most was that many of them did not seem happy because{#blank#}5{#/blank#} . They felt that they should be doing something else what ever they were doing. That's why they were not happy.
To those students, my advice is: Get used to it and learn to make decisions for yourselves.

      It's Sunday morning. There are many people in Garden Shopping Mall. Mrs. Green and her son, Jim, are also in the shopping mall.

      It is Mr. Green's birthday next Thursday. Mrs. Green wants to buy a new shirt for him. Soon she finds a good one. She thinks it matches Mr. Green's black suit very well. It's $45. But Mrs. Green takes it at a 20% discount (折扣) at last.

      Jim likes sports and he is a member of the school football team. His school will have a football match next Friday, so Mrs. Green buys a pair of new sports shoes for him. Jim's sister, Kate, is busy at school with her dancing lessons. She is going to dance at New Year's party. Mrs. Green buys a pink dress for her because Mrs. Green thinks her daughter (女儿) looks pretty in pink. She also buys some pink hair clips for Kate. She thinks they match Kate's new dress well.

      As for(至于) Mrs. Green, she buys some nice food for herself because she is a food lover.

    The Greens have a new house. It's big and beautiful. There are six rooms in the house. This is the living room. It's wide. The furniture is new. The sofa is on the left. The table is in front of the sofa. There are two chairs on the right. One is Mr. Green's. His is very big and beautiful. The other is Mrs. Green's. Hers is small, but it's ①                 (also, too) beautiful. The floor lamp is on the right. ②它在两把椅子之间。The TV is at the back of the room and the children, Tom and Lily, like watching it best.

    The Greens like their new house very much.

    Lu Xun was an excellent writer and thinker of modern China. He took part in the May

    Fourth New Culture Movement of 1919. He could be said to have laid the foundation(基础)of modern literature(文学)in China. You couldn't believe that he almost became a doctor! So how did Lu Xun give up the study of medicine and take up writing？

    When he was young, his father fell badly ill, and little Lu Xun bought medicine for him.

    But the medicine bought from a quack doctor(庸医)did his father no good at all, and his father died. With a deep sadness and great anger, Lu Xun promised to study the most modern medical skills and help people through medicine. He studied hard, and was accepted to study in Sendai Medical College in Japan.

    However, one event changed Lu Xun's life. One day, the teacher played a film of news in class. In the film, Japanese soldiers were preparing to kill a Chinese while some Chinese were watching it with great interest, as if it had nothing to do with them. After that, Lu Xun thought he should treat the numb(麻木的)spirits of Chinese.

    For this reason, he gave up the study of medicine and moved to Tokyo. He produced a magazine with some friends there. As a writer. Lu Xun hoped that he could save Chinese people with his pen. Many of his works were translated into the leading languages, including English, Russian, German, French and Japanese.

    When we want to buy a house, we all want to have nice neighbours to live near us, because most of us think that it is helpful to live with some good neighbours. But what kind of neighbour is good? The answers are different from people to people. Here are my answers.

    First, it is very important for our neighbours to respect our life. If we have a neighbour and he or she tries to know more about our life, how will we feel? He or she may also talk with others about our life. Do you want to live with him or her any more? The answer is "No". We will feel very sad to have this kind of neighbour and we may want to move away as quickly as we can.

    Next, a good neighbour is always ready to give us a hand when we need him or her. For example, if we are not at home and someone tries to open our door, our neighbour sees it, and calls 110. It will help us a lot.

    Finally, a good neighbour should love the environment(环境). He or she never puts rubbish here and there. And he or she should throw all the rubbish into the bin and keep the place clean. A good environment can make people who live in it comfortable and feel happy all the time.

    I think we all should learn to be good neighbours, and I also hope everyone will have good neighbours and live a happy life.
