It is generally believed that obesity is a global epidemic and crisis. But people's view on weight is keeping us from doing things to help us get {#blank#}1{#/blank#} healthy body. Obesity researchers hate{#blank#}2{#/blank#} when I say this, but their own data shows that obesity is not going to kill us. Most obese people don't have {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(short) lifespans (寿命) than non-obese people and in fact it's the underweight people {#blank#}4{#/blank#} are at most at risk.

    So why does everybody think obesity is deadly? One reason is that obesity is associated with three different things that {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(be) deadly and lead to shorter lifespan: being sedentary (久坐);{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (have) lower income; and not getting enough medical care. Everyone, the medial the medical community operate from the firm {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (assume) that obesity is deadly. So any evidences contradicting that are ignored. It is true that obese people are more likely {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(get) diabetes and cardiovascular disease. But there are two things you need to realize. First of all, the obesity paradox. When obese people get the {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (disease), they're less likely to die of them than non-obese people. Second, to reduce the risks that you may suffer from, you don't {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (actual) have to get thin. You just need to exercise.

    Members of the post﹣1990 generation looking for work apply for multiple positions and hold high expectations of the jobs. They are particular about employment and it was common for them  {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（break）appointments for job interviews.

    The only child is characteristic of the most of the families since 1990. His or her living conditions have  {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (great) improved from those of the post﹣1980 and post﹣1970 generations. They don't experience much pressure in life so they pay closer attention to{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(person) preferences and interests when {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(hunt) for a job. They also does not care about the amount of money they make. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}，the working environment，the happiness they get from their work and respect from others are the things {#blank#}6{#/blank#}matter most.

    As the saying goes，second {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(think) are best. The post﹣1990generation does not think twice about leaving in their first year of work. If they lose interest in a job or are not clear about their future career path, they {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(quit) easily.

    Members of the generation are also more self﹣centered. They want more time for{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(they) and are not willing to work overtime. Their attitude to life is more casual.

    This generation is very sensitive and has a lot of self﹣respect,{#blank#}10{#/blank#}the employers need to be concerned about their temperaments（性情）and ways of communication.

    In recent years, learning Chinese{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(become) popular among people around the world. Last month, I received an email from my friend Jack in Canada. He said he was enthusiastic about China, and asked me to find him some books which {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (intend) for Chinese beginners, I was pleased to do such a favor. So I went from one bookstore to another,{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (hope) to find something suitable for him. Finally I selected a set of Chinese textbooks among a variety of similar ones.

It seems to be something in our blood {#blank#}1{#/blank#} makes human beings want to conquer (征服)" things by climbing them, no matter whether it's Qomolangma — the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (high) peak on Earth —{#blank#}3{#/blank#} Uluru, a big rock that sits 348 meters above the ground in the central Australian desert. Many {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (visit) to Uluru climb the rock even though there's no road to it, except for a chain-and-pole path that's been hammered into the rock by early explorers. There's even a sign at the bottom of the rock {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (write) in seven languages, reading: "Please don't climb."

    For starters, the rock has spiritual significance for the local Aboriginal people, and {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(set) foot on it is considered disrespectful. Other concerns include some people leaving litter on top of the rock, and some even urinate (撒尿)on it since there's no toilet up there. When it rains, the human waste is washed down onto the rock, which can be {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (harm) to the environment. Also, according to ABC News, 35 people {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (die) so far trying to climb it. This is {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the Australian government announced earlier this month that climbing Uluru {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (ban), starting from Oct 26, 2019.
