Last week, I watched a movie. I noticed an actress who has very good eyesight{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (play) the part of a blind lady. She played it so well that if you saw her{#blank#}2{#/blank#}the first time, you would think that she was blind. It seemed that this actress {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(spend) her time putting a little more effort into her career so that she could play the part that the{#blank#}4{#/blank#}actresses could not.

    Have you ever seen people digging a well before? They don't just stop{#blank#}5{#/blank#}they see a little drop of water. They put in a little more effort to ensure that they get plenty of water.

    A popular saying goes that. It is only {#blank#}6{#/blank#}average mind {#blank#}7{#/blank#} would do the same thing all the time but expect another result.”  All you need to do is put a little more effort so that you can expect a wholly different result.

    You have two options in life eitherto focus on what's lost {#blank#}8{#/blank#}to fight for what^'s left. Fighting for what's left is all about{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(forget) the past, putting on your armor of courage and {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (brave) and putting in that extra effort. Be better than the best you can be.

    In my family, there {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(be) three people. My father is a {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (farm) and goes to work in the field every day. He isn't good at {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (talk) but he gets on well with other people. My mother is very kind and is {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (friend) to everybody. So when I have {#blank#}5{#/blank#} problem I will turn{#blank#}6{#/blank#} her for help. My friends say I am clever, because when the teacher asks {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (we) very difficult questions, I can come up with the answers {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (quick). But my father thinks I am not patient. He says once I have difficulty in {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (solve) problems, I will {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (easy) give up. This is what I need to improve in the future.

    After four years of living here, I have a better {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(understand) of northern China's food.  

    Northern China's hearty food is {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(general) more acceptable to Westerners. They can enjoy Beijing roast duck, beef and dairy from Inner Mongolia, and Korean dishes in the northeast. Northern China experiences cold and dry winters, and hot summers, {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(make) calories and salt replacement more important. As a result, northern dishes have strong flavors, compared with the south {#blank#}4{#/blank#} dishes are lighter in flavor.  

    Wheat is the main crop of northern China, and you will find a variety of wheat-flour {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(product). Rice is also eaten in the north, but it is certainly secondary to wheat. Dumplings are very popular in the north, {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(serve) with vinegar for dipping.  

    Northerners tend to eat more meat and dairy for the purpose {#blank#}7{#/blank#} fighting against the cold weather. Most meat dishes {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(base) on mutton, pork, beef,  chicken,  and fish.  

    {#blank#}9{#/blank#} are less fresh vegetables available because of the cold weather. Fruit is traditionally limited to a few hard seasonal varieties like apples, so it doesn't feature much in the cuisine, although the northwest is famous for {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(it) dried fruit and wine.  

    Liu Sijiang(teacher):The Net improves the speed of communication， but there are many people who lie on it Therefore, it is natural that some people are {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(worry)about the girl in Nanjing, who made friends with an American teacher by email.

    Xu Yong (student) : These days, {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(make) friends online is a part of many people's lives. I think we can make good and helpful friends online, just like the girl from Nanjing. So don't be afraid to do {#blank#}3{#/blank#} you think is right.

    Ding Yixiang ( student ): As the most {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(importance) communication tool at present, the Internet helps us to know and understand world affairs. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} is also easy to make friends with foreigners through your keyboard {#blank#}6{#/blank#}, a “ friend” might lie to you. Only if young people can control themselves well and know what is good and what is bad, making friends on the Net should not be {#blank#}7{#/blank#} problem at all.

    Zhou Jian( student) : It is hard to say {#blank#}8{#/blank#} or not it is good to make friends on the Internet In fact, some bad and harmful things have indeed happened. However, I like to make friends online. I often share my happiness and sadness {#blank#}9{#/blank#} my friends there. They can offer me some advice {#blank#}10{#/blank#} tell me how to solve problems when I am in trouble.

    Middle English is the name {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(give) to the English used from around the 12th to the 15th centuries. It is interesting to learn {#blank#}10{#/blank#}the words for animals and meat developed.

    A lady, who found it not easy to wake up early, bought an alarm clock. These clocks are so made as {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (strike) with a loud noise at any hour the owner pleases to set them. The alarm clock {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (perfect) did its duty, and went off at the right time. She {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (rise) at once, and felt better all day for it. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}, after a time, the lady grew tired of early rising. When she {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (wake) up by the noise, she merely turned over in bed and slept again. In a few days, the clock spoke just as loudly as ever, but she didn't hear {#blank#}6{#/blank#} because she had been in the habit of not obeying it, {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (find) that she might as well be without it, she was determined that when she heard the sound she would jump up.

    So it is {#blank#}8{#/blank#} conscience. If we will obey its voice, even in the smallest things, we can always hear it, clear and strong. But if we allow ourselves to do {#blank#}9{#/blank#} we fear or may not be right, we shall grow more and more {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (sleep) until the voice of conscience has no longer the power to wake us.
