Mike is nine this year, but he's 1 in Grade One. He's tall in his class and his 2 is in the last row(排). Miss King usually wears 3 and can't see what the boy does there when she's near the blackboard. Sometimes Miss King asks him some 4. He stands up but doesn't know what she 5.     I had a summer camp with my classmates last year.

    Early in the morning. We met at the station. After saying goodbye to our parents, we got on the buses. It took us more than two hours to arrive at the campground. We got off the buses cheerfully. Laughing and shouting. We jumped and ran all over the place. It was the first time for us to be away from the parents .Some of us started to feel homesick(想家). However, when the night party and dances began, the homesickness was gone. The next day, everybody rushed to the boating class, hoping to be at the head of the others. At first, my friends and I worked hard, but the boat wouldn't listen to us and kept going round and round. Then the teacher taught us how to work together. After many tries, we did much better. Swimming class was my favorite. It was about the hottest time of a day and the best time to stay in the cool water. The swimming teacher was a funny man, and during the class he made us laugh happily. During the week I learned a lot of new things and made many new friends. I also learned how to take care of myself.

    There was once a young man in a town. He liked puppets (木偶) so much that he became an apprentice (学徒) to a great puppet-maker. Sadly, the young man was not so clever, and people around him always said he had no 1 for making puppets.

However, he enjoyed it so much that he worked day after day to 2his skills. Though he was hard-working, they would always find something wrong with his puppets. The young man was 3 but he wasn't going to give up. After thinking for a few days, he 4 to spend all his time making just one kind of puppet. There were so many people on the Great Wall. The Greens felt very 10 and they took lots of photos there! How beautiful Beijing is! They will go to Beijing again next summer!
