Jack had a very strange dream yesterday evening. He dreamed that he lived in a jungle (丛林) in Africa with many 1. He made friends with monkeys, snakes and giraffes. Every day he woke up early in the morning and went 2 for food. He ate fruit and insects. After breakfast, he had a meeting with the monkeys.     Dorian Murray, an 8-year-old American boy who has been fighting against cancer for more than 4 years, made a final 1 —he wants to be 2 in China and see the Great Wall, or, in his own words, "the bridge" that people 3 on. As he wished, he has become famous online, and many Chinese went to the Great Wall carrying the sigh "D-Strong" and wished Dorian well through the videos and 4.     Dorian's story touched these children. Pan Yufei is one of them.

    "I think he is very positive, because he always smiles in those pictures online."

    "I want to tell Dorian to keep 10. Miracles(奇迹) can happen. He could make it to the Great Wall someday. I want to be as brave as he is."

    Qi Mutong thinks the support from people is meaningful: "Even if he cannot make it to the Great Wall, we can help him see it and other parts of China. I hope our love can be passed on to others. With efforts we can even help him see the whole world."

Some people like to collect stamps. Others prefer posters or coins. But Pinky Bhutia is different. She collects children. In her mountain village, in Sikkim, she is known as the wonderful young woman who adopts (领养) all the children she can. 

Pinky was 14 when she adopted her first child, a Nepali baby girl, whose patents died. Pinky's parents did not mind. Pinky left school and started working full time because she had a baby to feed. Today, she has twelve adopted children, and two sons from her marriage. 

Pinky is about 30 years old and she comes from a common family. If you passed her on the street, you wouldn't give her a second look. She lives in a brown mud-washed（泥刷的） house. There is a vegetable garden outside. Red hens with noisy chicks run all over the garden looking for food.

If you ask her why she provides a home to so many kids, she smiles shyly. But her eyes are serious. "I know what it is to be poor and hungry. "As a child, her only dream was to eat a full meal, and her favorite amusement was watching people with shoes and imagining what it felt like. By adopting poor and homeless children she is making sure that they never feel that hopeless. 

Pinky feels very proud when she sees her children happy and bright, Her oldest baby, Aarita Rai, is now 20 years old. Then, there is 19-year-old Nimbe who came to Pinky because her mother was unable to look after her. She started to work in a government office two years ago. 10-year-old Bhim and 14-year-old Kumar came to Pinky five years ago, after their father died. They started living on a patch of land given by Pinky and grew vegetables for sale.

I'm Susie Green, a student at No. 3 Middle School in Shanghai. Ms. Liu is our math teacher. She is very nice. All the students like her. Heidi Smith is my good friend here. She enjoys reading books very much. And she is also good at singing and dancing. We love Chinese classical poetry(中国古诗) very much. So both of us join the Chinese club in our school and we want to talk about the poetry about autumn(秋天) next Friday.

What's more, the Chinese corner(汉语角) is also my favorite at school because I can practice my Chinese by communicating(交流) with other students there. We always have a great time telling interesting stories together.

That's my school life here. How interesting it is!

My father was busy fixing Belinda's spaceship all afternoon. In the evening, I went to the landing place. "Dear Father," I said politely. "Have you found Belinda's parents yet?"

"Not yet, my dear." He shook his head.

I felt relaxed. I didn't want to meet Belinda's parents—they might be ten times as loud and bossy as she was.

But Belinda had followed me.

"Not yet?" she shouted. "Why not? I'll send them a message! They'll listen to me!"

Belinda ran to the radio. She shouted into it so loudly that I had to cover all my four ears. "Mummy! Daddy! I'm on an awful spaceship full of purple people! Come and find me now!"

"Poor Belinda!" my sister came and said. "Her parents must be missing her."

"Huh!" I snorted (发出哼声). "Missing her? You're joking! Who would want such a bossy kid back? They probably lost her on purpose."

Belinda's face clouded. I thought she was going to shout again, but she didn't. Instead, something very strange happened — her eyes began to water!

"Oh, help!" said Roa. "Is she dying?"

I felt terrible. "Don't die, Belinda! I didn't mean it."

Then Belinda opened her mouth wide and shouted, "What if it's true? What if they've gone away and left me here forever?"

We were all so busy comforting Belinda that we didn't notice the soft knock of a ship landing outside. We didn't see two tall people come out of it until Belinda ran out in excitement.

"Mummy! Daddy!"

Belinda's parents were even uglier than she was, but they looked polite. "Hello, dear," the female said. "We're sorry we kept you waiting."

We smiled as the three of them boarded their spaceship. "Goodbye!" shouted Belinda. "Goodbye! Thanks for taking care of our baby girl!" said her father.

None of us answered. We waved cheerfully as the ship took off and went far away into the stars.
