The best experience of my life was when we went to Stonehenge. We went there on a group tour.

    When I saw Stonehenge, my first 1 was that it was huge. You know, Stonehenge is about 5, 000 years old. I 2 how the ancient people moved these huge pieces of stone. After we parked(停车) at the Stonehenge parking lot, our guide Nick took us to a 3shop. There my mum got a nice painting of Stonehenge. After we left the gift shop, we went to Stonehenge 4the tunnel.

    That was a privilege(优惠待遇)at Stonehenge 5we were able to go right up to the stones and touch them. Usually visitors 6get really close and touch the stones. At Stonehenge we walked around the circle and then 7the ceremonial(仪式的) centre. There we were given half a(n) 8 to look around and explore.9 30 minutes we got ready to leave. It was 10 that we had to leave Stonehenge.

    Hopefully, one day I'll go back.

There's an elephant living in a forest. He's very beautiful and clever. He usually helps people who get lost in the forest, so people in the countryside all like him very much.

One day, a young man came to the countryside. He knew the elephant from the farmers and he wanted to catch him. Then he went to the forest and looked for the elephant. After two days, he saw the elephant and ran after him. But the elephant ran so fast. The young man couldn't catch him. The elephant ran from morning to night. He was very tired, so he hid (躲藏) behind the trees. The young man couldn't see him.

After some time, the young man got lost in the forest and fell into a pool. No one could help him out. The elephant saw that and saved him. The young man thanked the elephant and said, "I'm sorry for what I do at first. Please tell me what you want me to do for you." The elephant said, "I only want to stop catching animals and save them."

It is a nice day. Kate is at home with her family. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} She likes to read books very much. 

Her friend Mary calls her, "{#blank#}2{#/blank#} I have something for you. "

Kate goes to Mary's house, Kate sees a red note(便条) on the door. It reads, " Come in, Kate. And go to the sofa. " On the sofa, Kate finds a book. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} It reads, " Go to my table. "

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} Next to it, there is a yellow note. It reads, " Go to my bedroom. "

Kate goes to Mary's bedroom. And what does she see? {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

" Happy birthday, Kate. " They say. 

Have a look at the picture. There is a fairytale (童话) treehouse in it. Radamshome, a lovely dad, built it for his daughter. It is really beautiful, isn't it?

Radamshome is an artist (艺术家). His job is to make video games. One day, his daughter said that she dreamed (梦想) to have a fairy tree in her bedroom that she could sit and read books inside. So Radamshome decided to build a fairytale treehouse for his daughter. 

Radamshome said that he began with an idea, and then drew a picture. Next, he made a scale model (比例模型). He prepared (准备) all the things he needed. He first built a tree with steel and cement (钢筋和水泥). Then he painted the tree in beautiful colors. He even decorated (装饰) the tree with flowers, birds nests, butterflies and some Christmas lights. The treehouse looks very beautiful and special when the lights are on at night. There are also some animal toys near the tree. 

Radamshome spent eighteen months finishing this treehouse. He feels very happy when he sees his daughter reading books inside the fairy treehouse.

Bill Smith is an 80-year-old man. He lives with his brother Bob Smith in Texas, America. In his free time, he likes making things and helping others. There are many stray (流浪的) dogs in the street, so Bill wants to help them.

The brothers find nine dogs. The dogs always have no food to eat, so they are not healthy. Then they let these nine dogs live with them and eat with them.

"Everyone needs a little fun in life. Stray dogs need it, too," Bill Smith says. "I think it must be very interesting for them to travel by train."

So Bill and his brother buy some old buckets(桶子)and make a dog train. It is very long. The dogs are happy to see the train, and Bill Smith takes them on trips by train every week.

"These dogs don't have families, but they are lucky to have a good time with us now. I'm very happy to be with them, too," Bill says.

My father died when I was five. It was hard on us all. My brother, who is eight years older than me, began to take care of my mother and me. 

He took on more responsibilities. I remember he made sure the rubbish was taken out, and the yard was cleaned. He did all on his own, without being told to do so. 

Because of my father's death, Mom had to get a full-time job. Brother would get me up for school and make me breakfast. While I was eating, he would lay out my clothes, make my bed, and gather my school books up. 

Hand in hand we would walk to the bus stop. As we waited, he would play games my father used to play with me. When we returned from school, we were alone for about half an hour, until Mom got home from work. Before I did my homework, he would sit me down with three cookies and a glass of milk. Then he would prepare something for Mom to cook dinner. 

Mom would greet us with a hug and kiss. This was our time to have some fun outside. This was my brother's time to be a kid. 

One Saturday in June several years later, my mother and I were at a store where the Father's Day cards were sold. I stared at the cards. Mom said, "Cindy, I know this is hard time for you. "

"No, Mom. That's not it. Why don't they have Brother's Day cards?"

She smiled, "You're right. Your brother has exactly been a father to you. Go ahead to choose a card. "

I did so, and on that Father's Day, my mother and I sat my brother down and gave him the card. 

As he read it, I saw the tears in his eyes. Mom said, "Son, your father is proud of you, seeing that he raised a good man, and that you do   your best to fill his shoes. We love you and thank you. "
