I am Frank. In our western countries, there are four seasons or 365 days in a year. Usually, we sleep 8 hours every day. So we have 122 days for sleeping. Then our study or work time is only 243 days left. But there are 52 weekends in a year. Each weekend is two days. We lose another 104 days a year for work. It takes up about one hour to have breakfast and supper. This comes to 15 days over a year. Four free hours each evening takes up 61 days. But we can't work all the time, so we need holidays. We have to remember that we get 2 days' holiday at Easter, 3 at Christmas and 1at the New Year. There are also 4 Bank holidays. Take those 10 days away and we have 32 days for work. But then we have one and a half hours' lunch every day, and half an hour's coffee break. That comes to 30 days a year. This means that we have only a few days left for study or work every year. What about you in China?

    There's a park near my home. People like to go to this park after work, because they like the beautiful flowers and clean air in the park. Some of them go there every day. Look! That's Mr. King. He is taking a photo for his son, Jim. They look very happy. Some boys are playing games. Some boys are playing football. Lucy and Lily are standing under a tree. They're talking. There's a small river in the park. We can see some boats on the water. Some children are sitting in the boats with their parents. Listen! A girl is singing.

    This is really a nice park. We all like it very much.

I'm Tony. I'll never give out personal information such as my name, home address, school name and telephone number on the Internet. Also, I'll never send a picture of myself to someone or talk with someone online(在网上).

    It was a sunny morning. A poor(贫穷的) young man with 1 right hand came to Mrs. Brown's door. He asked her for some 2.

Mrs. Brown 3, "You see, young man. There are some bricks(砖头) behind my house. If you help me 4 them to the front, I'll pay you twenty dollars."

    "Can't you see that I lost my right hand? 5 can I do it?" The old lady smiled, put one of her hands behind her body 6 then picked up one brick with 7. Seeing this, the young man didn't say a word and started to work right away.

    After he did the work, the young man 8 with the money from Mrs. Brown and he looked a little different.

    Two years later, the young man came again with some gifts. "Thank you for 9 that day. I know you didn't need me to do the work. You just wanted to make me feel better. I learnt that I could make money by working hard, too. And now I have a pancake store and a beautiful wife."

    Think 10 and you will make your life better.

One Thursday afternoon, when I was in Grade 7, a new boy came into my classroom. He was short and thin. He walked up to the teacher and told her, very seriously, that he was new. His name was Christian. He sat down, took a look at me, and then looked away. I didn't think he was very nice and I was sure he wasn't the type I would like to become friends with.

During that year, I didn't talk to him much, but he smiled at me when our eyes met, always shyly. He never ate lunch with anybody, and he never talked to anybody but me.

But one day I joined those unkind kids who were making fun of him. We made fun of him though I thought it was wrong. 

"Haven't you got any friends? " a kid asked Christian, who had walked past us alone, head down.  "No, he hasn't got any friends. He's too stupid and shy. " I said. Then Christian looked up at me with the saddest dog eyes I had ever seen. I felt very sorry at that moment.

That night, I couldn't sleep because I couldn't get Christian's face out of my mind. In the weeks that followed, he never met my eyes in class and never smiled at me. It was really hard for me to decide to write him a note asking him to forgive（原谅）me. But I thought I should. 

The next day in class, I wrote him a note telling him how sorry I felt. About five minutes later, I turned and saw tears in his eyes. "You will never realize (意识到) what your apology（道歉）has meant to me, Jimmy, "he said to me. "I hope we can become friends. "

We had lunch together that noon and we had the best talk I had ever had. Over the years at high school, we were close friends.

When I think back, I realize that, if I had not apologized, I would never have known what a lovely person Christian was.

Apologies can really change your life, so never miss the chance to tell somebody you are sorry.
