I owe (亏欠) my father a huge thank-you ! Sure, I need to thank him for all those years of paying my bills, fixing my bikes, and providing a shoulder to cry on.  But this year I realized that his contributions (贡献) to my childhood were much more than that. 

I grew up as Daddy's Little Girl.  If I had a problem that needed fixing or a question that needed answering, he was the one I ran to.  He helped me get through everything from math homework as a student to career ( 职业) choices as a young adult.   He always expected that I do my best in whatever I did, and he believed I could succeed in anything I put my mind to.  As a result, I learned to hold myself to those same standards.  He always showed me unconditional love, which helped me learn to love myself.  It was something I'd taken for granted until I realized from talking with my friends that they had no similar view of their self-worth.  Having fathers that didn't believe in them left them to grow up not believing in themselves. 

As I was growing up, my father also showed to me how a woman should be lavished.  He got along with my mom with love and respect.  As a result, I grew to expect nothing less than that from the men I dated and from the man I would finally marry.  Dad was a living picture of godliness ( 虔诚), honesty and responsibility.  It was only recently that I realized what a deep influence fathers have on their daughters' lives.  That is why I want to thank my dad for the example of love that he has been to me throughout my life. 

In Germany (德国), many children learn how to ride their bikes when they are very young. But if they want to ride bikes by themselves on the street, they have to pass a test (考试). The test is like our driving test.

First, the students must learn about how to ride bikes safely on the street. They'll have about 30 classes. Each student has a book and the book tells them how to keep safe on the street and how to keep others safe.

After the classes, the students will have two writing tests. Then, they will do some riding practice (练习) at school. Some policemen will come to give them more guides.

At last, the students will have a test on the street. Some policemen will grade the students. If they can pass the test, they can get a bike licence (执照). Then they are ready for the street!

We all know German people are very precise. We can see this from their riding test for the primary school students. The students not only learn useful riding skills (技能), but also learn the spirit (精神) of the country!

Hello, everyone. I am Eric, a student in No. I Middle School. Now let me tell you about my favorite teacher. 

My favorite teacher is Mrs. Plath. She is my English teacher. She is my friend John's aunt, too. She is good to every student in my class. Everyone likes her. She gives us some interesting homework. It's relaxing for me to do the homework. 

Now Mrs. Plath is 40. She has many things to do. She has three classes a day. And she helps in the reading club after school. She helps children read and makes them love books. 

I think good teachers can make students love school. They have a good influence (影响) on their students. Mrs. Plath is a good teacher. I want to thank her. I want to be a teacher like her. 

Hello, everybody!I am Kevin. I am a student of Nanhai Middle School. My school is very beautiful. I study in Class Two, Grade Seven. 

Look, there is a map of our school on the wall. There are four buildings and five gardens in our school. In the gardens, there are a lot of beautiful flowers, grass and trees. 

There is a big playground in my school. It is in the middle of the school. 

On the left of the playground, there is a building. It's the library. On the first floor, there are two big reading rooms. I like reading there very much. I often borrow books from the library too. 

There is a teaching building behind the library. We study in that building. My classroom is on the second floor in it. The science room, the computer room and the music room are all on the fifth floor. The teachers' offices are in that building too. 

Where is the sports hall? Oh, it's on the right of the playground. We often have PE lessons in the sports hall. The canteen is a building behind the sports hall. We have lunch and dinner in the canteen. 

I like my school because my school is very beautiful. In the school, I feel very happy. 

Nearly everybody loves oranges. They are sweet and juicy and it is easy to eat them. Some people also like their colour. 

The orange tree is beautiful. It has a lot of shiny(闪亮的) green leaves. Its small white flowers smell very sweet. An orange tree has flowers and fruit at the same time. 

Farmers in other parts of Asia and the Middle East(中东) learned to plant orange trees from Chinese. Then they taught Europeans how to plant orange trees. Later, Europeans took oranges to America. 

In English, "orange" means both a fruit and a colour. We use the name of the fruit for the colour. 

Last year, I did not like my English classes. The teacher spoke so {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (quick) that I did not understand her most of the time. But I was afraid to ask {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(question) because of my poor pronunciation. I just said nothing. 

Then one day I watched {#blank#}3{#/blank#} English movie called Toy Story. I was really interested in this exciting {#blank#}4{#/blank#} funny movie, so I began to watch other English movies too. At {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (one), I couldn't understand everything the characters (角色) said. Soon I found their body language and the expressions (表情) helped me {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(get) the meanings. I also realized (意识到) I could get the meanings {#blank#}7{#/blank#} listening to the key words. I also learnt some useful (有用的){#blank#}8{#/blank#} (sentence). That's because I always looked {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (they) up in the dictionary. 

Now I really enjoy my English classes. I  {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (learn) more new words and grammar in the future. In this way, I can have a better understanding of English movies.
