牛津深圳版七上英语Module 2 The natural world unit 3 the earth单元测试

根据短文内容,选择正确答案。

In most parts of the world, many students help their schools make less pollution. They join “environment clubs”. In an environment club, people work together to make our environment clean.

Here are some things students often do.

◆No—garbage (垃圾) lunches. How much do you throw away after lunch? Environment clubs ask students to bring their lunches in bags that can be used (被使用) again.

◆No—car day. On a no-car day, nobody comes to school in a car—not the students and not the teachers! Cars give pollution to our air, so remember: Walk, jump, cycle or run.

Use your legs! It's lots of fun!

◆Turn off the water! Did you know that some toilets can waste (浪费) twenty to forty tons of water an hour? In a year, that would fill a small fiver! In environment clubs, students mend those broken toilets.

We love our environment. Let's work together to make it clean.

(1)、Environment clubs ask students ______.

A、not to throw away lunch bags B、to take exercise every day C、Not to forget to take cars D、To run to school everyday

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}Us scientist Robert Trivers gave a possible answer in his studies. He said that we are polite because we need to belong and be included in society to live. So we be have well, help each other and say sorry, hoping that we can be treated well and be safe.

In the UK. politeness could be, as the Great British Mag put it, "a throwback (符合旧时代的事物)to the British class system. "{#blank#}3{#/blank#}.

D. I wonder when people in the UK say sorry.

E. We can't help saying sorry in the UK.

What does the writer mean by concluding "If you're ever in the UK, remember a little sorry' can go a long way. " ( answer with no more than 15 words. ) {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

 阅读理解

Two little girls, 14-year-old Cindy and 12-year-old Lucy, wrote to a newspaper office, asking some fast food restaurants to stop giving away free plastic toys. Many people read the letter and supported them.

"We have been learning all about the environment at school and the problem of plastic. It made us very sad to see how plastic harms wildlife and pollutes the ocean, and we want to change this. That's why we want the fast food restaurants to think of the environment and stop giving away plastic toys with their kids meals, " the two girls wrote in their letter.

"We like to go to eat in fast food restaurants, but children only play with the plastic toys for a few minutes before they throw them away. In the end, they will harm animals and pollute the sea. We want anything they give us to be sustainable(可持续的), so we can protect the earth for us and for future humans, " they continued. The letter made a large number of readers pay attention to them. The number of people who supported them almost double d after reporters followed the two little girls.

Since the little girls'story started being picked up by news reporters, the fast food restaurants had to give a reply to the newspaper office, telling about their plans for making their free toys more sustainable.
