Animals are {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (people) friends. But many wild animals are {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(face) the danger of{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(die) out. There're many reasons. First, their living environment change a lot because of the {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(develop) of many cities. Also, {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(pollute) becomes worse and this make wild animals lose {#blank#}6{#/blank#}homes. Second, some people are killing animals {#blank#}7{#/blank#}getting their fur, skin, teeth and meat.

    People should do something to help protect {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(endanger) wild animals. For example, people can build some nature reserves to save wild animals' homes. Animals can live {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(free) there. Besides, people are not allowed {#blank#}10{#/blank#}kill wild animals. If we start protecting our animal friends, our world will become much better.     

    My grandfather died in 2005 at the age of 78.He was b{#blank#}1{#/blank#} in 1927.When he was twenty—nine,he m {#blank#}2{#/blank#}     to Guangzhou,the capital of Guangdong Province.There he first worked in a factory and then in a food company.In 1952,he m{#blank#}3{#/blank#}a girl from Hunan Province.They had five daughters and my mother is their s{#blank#}4{#/blank#} daughter.

    When my grandfather was young,he didn't have a bicycle,so he usually{#blank#}5{#/blank#} to work every day.In his free time he liked to l{#blank#}6{#/blank#}to music on the radio, b{#blank#}7{#/blank#} he didn't have a TV at that time.He also liked to p{#blank#}8{#/blank#}chess with his friends.When he was sixty,he started w {#blank#}9{#/blank#}plays.One of his plays was successful.     Paper is {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (到处). We use it for homework, money, books, letters and cards. We have paper {#blank#}2{#/blank#} （杯子）, paper bags, paper plates and so on. It was first made in China. The Chinese made the first {#blank#}3{#/blank#} （真正的） paper in the year AD 105. And the Chinese kept it as a secret for hundreds of years. By the end of the {#blank#}4{#/blank#} （十二）century, paper-making reached Europe. The first paper made in Europe was in Spain in 1151. Later people improved the way of producing paper again and again.

    Because paper is made from wood, many people are {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (担心)that more and more trees are cut down to produce paper. Trees are an important part of the environment. {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (因此)many paper factories are using old paper instead of {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (新的) wood to make paper. The way of using old products again is called recycling. Recycling paper helps {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (节省) a lot of trees every year. Many people also try to use {#blank#}9{#/blank#} （更少） paper in their lives. For example, they use both sides of every piece of paper instead of just one. They also use computersto store information. Perhaps one day in the {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (将来)people will not use paper to write at all.

    In a small house outside London lives an old man. People often see him look {#blank#}1{#/blank#} his flowers in his garden all the time.

    One day, a young painter {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (go) by the old man's house.     The words of the gardener warm me with {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (please). He looked after the flowers {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (make) others enjoy the warm sunshine in spring. He can't see the beautiful flowers he planted, just like Beethoven, who can't hear his wonderful music {#blank#}9{#/blank#}.

    The old man is alone but not lonely. All of his flowers are his friends and neighbors. They {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (grow) in his heart. I believe that he can hear the voice of them.

    The beach is a good place for a vacation. I {#blank#}1{#/blank#}my last summer vacation with my friends there. The weather was hot and {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. We went swimming in the sea (海洋）and  {#blank#}3{#/blank#} beach volleyball on the beach. When we {#blank#}4{#/blank#}tired, we lay(躺）on the beach and  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. I {#blank#}6{#/blank#} many photos of the beach. Some of them are very beautiful. There is a {#blank#}7{#/blank#} near the beach. I spent one day {#blank#}8{#/blank#} it. I saw many old things about the sea in it. There are also some shops near the beach. We could buy all kinds of{#blank#}9{#/blank#} food in the shops. We {#blank#}10{#/blank#}had great fun on the beach. And we want to spend our next vacation there, too.

    Two years ago, I failed in the college entrance exam. It was a heavy shock（冲击） to my family and{#blank#}1{#/blank#}. They always wanted me to go to a great university in {#blank#}2{#/blank#} south of the country. I was eighteen and my family was poor. They thought that going to a good college could{#blank#}3{#/blank#} my life. I was under stress(压力) and felt worried. I stayed at home and didn't want to see anyone.

    One night, I{#blank#}4{#/blank#} that I went to college and was having an interesting lesson. All the students were laughing happily. I {#blank#}5{#/blank#} up suddenly and found myself in my room. I realized that I couldn't let myself down. I decided to take the next year's college entrance exam. It was a difficult year. I studied day and{#blank#}6{#/blank#} to get ready for the exam. When the exam came, I found that I wasn't as{#blank#}7{#/blank#} as before.

    Now I am studying in a good university. I try to pay for the education{#blank#}8{#/blank#} doing part-time jobs. I believe I can live a better life in the future.
