How did we help to save our earth this week? Let me tell you. First, my family tried to save{#blank#}1{#/blank#} . We never left the lights on when leaving the rooms. We turned off the TV when {#blank#}2{#/blank#} was watching it. Mum only used cold water in the washing machine. Second, we started {#blank#}3{#/blank#} this week. We tried to write on both sides of our paper, not just on one side. We also {#blank#}4{#/blank#} our rubbish into different bags. Mum kept the plastic shopping bags from the supermarket to use them {#blank#}5{#/blank#} rubbish bags. Third, my family started to save water. We stopped {#blank#}6{#/blank#} long baths and had short showers{#blank#}7{#/blank#}We washed the toilet with used water. Mum and dad used less water to do the washing. My sister and I didn't leave the tap running when we{#blank#}8{#/blank#} our teeth. At last, mum and dad began to save gas. Mum used to drive us to school, but now my sister and I started riding our bikes to school. It is{#blank#}9{#/blank#} work but good exercise. This week dad and a few of the people in his company also started to go to work in one car and share the costs.
These are great ways {#blank#}10{#/blank#} protect our environment.

It's fair to say that his behavior can not be {#blank#}9{#/blank#} in modern society. Gao may not have killed anyone, but by choosing to drive a car while under theinfluence of alcohol, he and the large number of others who do the same have{#blank#}10{#/blank#} the dangerous decision that may possibly hurt other people.

    On March 22nd, my class went to Valley to plant tree. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} it began to rain when we got there The rain got there heavier and heavier  so we {#blank#}2{#/blank#}in a tent, After the rain stopped We started to walk up the {#blank#}3{#/blank#}

    We took some spades and saplings（锹和幼树） with us They were so heavy that we couldn't walk very fast Finally, we arrived at the top A farmer {#blank#}4{#/blank#} us how to plant trees: dig a hole, put a sapling in the hole and make it stand straight, cover

 its root (根) with soil (泥土) ... I could't wait to try, {#blank#}5{#/blank#}I picked up a spade and started working

    It wasn't such an easy job as it might look like, because the spade was very heavy. It {#blank#}6{#/blank#} me about 15 minutes to finish planting the first tree. The following ones were much {#blank#}7{#/blank#} because I was becoming more  and more  experienced When I finished the eighth one, the rain started {#blank#}8{#/blank#} We kept on working  in raincoats.

    Finally, we finished planting all the trees. We were very happy though we were {#blank#}9{#/blank#}and hungry! Then we went down the hill and back to the tent. The dinner was ready. We had chicken, peppers, pancakes, etc. They were very delicious.

    After dinner, the farmer gave us some {#blank#}10{#/blank#}. We said thanks and went back home.

    In a primary school, a teacher asked her students what they wished to become when they grow up. There were several {#blank#}1{#/blank#} — a doctor, a teacher, a film-star and so on.

    One of the students gave a {#blank#}2{#/blank#} answer. This child said, "I want to be a television!" The teacher asked the child {#blank#}3{#/blank#} he had such a wish. He said, with his eyes full {#blank#}4{#/blank#} tears, "There is no one at home to watch me or care for me. Everyone sits around the television.     The loving teacher met the child's mother and {#blank#}6{#/blank#} about this with her. The mother said, "My husband is a very busy businessman. He {#blank#}7{#/blank#} has time to look after the child." "But what about you?" the teacher asked the mother. "What do you know about me? I'm the president of the women's club. I have {#blank#}8{#/blank#}many meetings and activities." The teacher now understood why the child {#blank#}9{#/blank#} lonely at home.

    "I think children want their parents to spend {#blank#}10{#/blank#} time with them." said the teacher.
