Honesty is a virtue, and telling a lie is morally wrong. But how can you know if someone is ? The answer is, they're probably not. Traditional economics says that people are rational beings who will lie if it is  their advantage. A recent university study has shown that, actually, we're pretty honest ―especially  we're at home.

Researchers in Germany phoned people at home and asked them to toss a coin. There was a strong financial incentive (激励) to fake the result: if the coin landed tails-up, the participant would receive money or a gift voucher, while if the coin landed heads-up, they would get . Because they were on the phone, they knew there was no of getting caught if they lied. And yet people revealed the truth despite that they (receive) nothing. Over hundreds of tosses a coin will land tails-up roughly 50% of the time. In this study over half the people (55.6%) asked said that the coin landed heads-up. Most of them didn't pursue the reward at the of honesty.

Previous studies had found that people were more dishonest. In those laboratory studies 75% of people,  (include) some who faked the results, reported a winning coin and claimed a reward. So the research team guesses it's being in our own home  makes us play fair. , what motivates people to do so remains unclear.

I reached the cinema {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(hurry). Holding the ticket in my hand, I began to look for a buyer. Just then a handsome young man, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} noticed me and the ticket, came towards me with a big smile, "You've got {#blank#}4{#/blank#} extra ticket?"

    "Yes, "I nodded.

    "That's great. Say how much?"

    "20 fen."

"Oh, " he thought for a while and then took out a ten yuan note {#blank#}5{#/blank#} his wallet.

"I'm terribly sorry, {#blank#}6{#/blank#} I've only got this note." Seeing I was confused, he added, "Then how about waiting for a while {#blank#}7{#/blank#} I have changed it in the cinema's store?"

Without much thinking, I agreed. Then we went to the cinema together. He walked very fast. I could hardly keep up with {#blank#}8{#/blank#}. Soon he disappeared. I stood there {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(puzzle). Suddenly I realized the handsome young fellow {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (cheat) me."

Before long I found that he'd sold the ticket to a little boy. He earned 20 fen, but lost his honor!
