Stampedes (踩踏), earthquakes and fires are the main accidents at school.

{#blank#}2{#/blank#} When students around you begin to push (推), just stand there and try to hold onto something. If you fall down in the crowd, move to one side and protect your head with your hands around.

When earthquakes happen, you can get under a desk quickly and hold on. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} If you are outdoors, find a place away from buildings, trees, and powerlines (电线).

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} It's better to put something over your mouth and nose. In this way, you won't breathe (吸) in smoke. Many people die in a fire, not because of the fire but smoke. It makes them cough and they can't breathe. That's very dangerous! {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Then you can breathe some fresh air.

Money may not buy happiness, but it helps.Many teenagers want to learn how to manage money before going out into the world. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} This idea is raised by Dr Mara Harvey, a money expert. The following are some of her tips.

Learn to make money. Ask parents or neighbours if you can do chores to make pocket money.These could include washing a car or taking the dog for a walk.{#blank#}2{#/blank#} In this way, you can also improve your communication skills, which will help when you have a grown-up job, too.

Help your money grow. Money can't grow if it's sitting inside a piggy bank. Put your money in the bank and you can get interest(利息). {#blank#}3{#/blank#}One day you may feel surprised at how much money you have.

Make a plan. If you have a big event, such as a holiday coming up, it might mean you will need to spend more of your pocket money. Try making a plan for spending and saving. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Then it will help you take control of your money.

{#blank#}5{#/blank#} Figure out how much you can reasonably spend each month. Spend your money on what you truly need. Then try to cut down on spending. For example, rather than eating out,you can choose to cook at home.

A. Listen when your parents are speaking. If you do so, they will listen to you as well.When true communication takes place, you will find it interesting to talk with them.

B. Find time to have fun with your parents. When you and your parents are free, you can play games together. It's a good way to.communicate with each other.

C.Write down what you want to say. You don't have to write down every word and even a few key points can help remind you of important things to talk about.

D.Find the right time and place. Make sure that your parents have enough time to talk with you. Don't talk in public places or when they have many things to do.

E. Don't argue with your parents. Be patient when you disagree with them. If you speak to your parents impolitely or even argue with them, it will hurt all of you.

F.Be brave to talk to your parents. They love you and are willing to support you, so anything you want to say will be welcome. Don't be shy and why not have a try?

①Many people travel to varied places in the world by air. Usually it takes a long time, perhaps half a day, for passengers to stay in the plane. So airlines offer passengers food. But it is common that they feel bad about food taste. Do you agree? 

②To solve this problem, airlines try hard to improve their food. They would like to do so because they don't want to lose customers. 

③However, according to scientific research, a part of the reason why plane food tastes bad is that at high altitude (海拔) we can not taste things as well as we do on the ground. Also scientists have found that our noses become very dry even before a plane takes off. As the plane moves up, the change in air pressure reduces one third of the sensibility (感觉) of our taste buds(味蕾). So our taste buds become senseless. The sad face, however, is that our noses don't know it.

④All of these help explain why food on the plane tastes so bad. ____ Without doing so, the food would be tasteless.

⑤Now there are many researches on this. According to one of them, some volunteers are asked to lie with their feet higher than their heads for weeks. And scientists write down their feelings about food taste.

⑥Though scientists try their best, it is not as easy as they thought. Because they can't deal with the special environment successfully, such as the change in air pressure, making food taste good is still hard for them.
