At first my new {#blank#}1{#/blank#} were difficult to tolerate. The air seemed thin, as though  its combination of gases had little oxygen left.  Hit by a {#blank#}2{#/blank#} of fresh air, my head ached. Just as I tried to make the necessary {#blank#}3{#/blank#} to this new situation ,Wang ping handed a mask to me and I felt better in {#blank#}4{#/blank#} time. Soon I was {#blank#}5{#/blank#} on my feet again and following him to collect a hovering carriage driven by computer. Wang Ping fastened my safety belt and showed me how to use it. Soon I could fly as fast as him. However, I lost {#blank#}6{#/blank#} of him when we reached what looked like a large market because of too many carriage flying in all directions.

    In the US, most kids {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (teach) that it is OK to be different. Most people in the US celebrate being unique.

    But some kids have difficulty {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(accept) uniqueness. It's easy to pick on someone who's different,{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (especial) if you have your own problems to deal with.     As Auggie's classmates get to know him better, they come to find that he's a nice kid {#blank#}9{#/blank#} a great sense of humor. They start to change their attitude toward him. In real life, it may take longer to see such changes happen. But if we give people{#blank#}10{#/blank#}chance, their hearts and minds may change in the end.

    Whether enveloped by the thick smog from factories or unseen poisons from vehicle waste gases, many cities around the world are losing the battle against air pollution．

I'm a single mother with a{#blank#}1{#/blank#}( grow ) son. I love him more than I can say. He's a good person, a great guy {#blank#}2{#/blank#}so many ways —- smart, {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(create), kind to animals, etc. We get along well, have common interests and enjoy each {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(other) company. The rest of my immediate family is {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (die), and he is literally all the family I have.

The problem is that he is {#blank#}6{#/blank#}( turn ) 30 and shows no signs of wanting to leave home. He {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(do)move out and try the roommate route twice, but both times it did not turn out well and he moved back in with me. This wouldn't be so bad —- we do get along well —- but he doesn't pay half the expenses, or even a quarter. In fact, he doesn't pay me {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (something) at all. My frequent requests for him {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(contribute) to the rent and utilities(公用设施) often result in losing his temper and yelling at me that all I care about is money. Rise After Falling

    A father was worried about his son, {#blank#}1{#/blank#}was sixteen years old but had no courage at all. So the father decided to call on a Buddhist monk(僧侣){#blank#}2{#/blank#} (train) his boy.

    The Buddhist monk said to the boy's father, "I insist that your son should be left alone here. I'll make him into a real man within three months. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}, you can't come to see him during this period."

    Three months later, the boy's father {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (return). The Buddhist monk arranged a boxing match between the boy and an {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(experience) boxer. Each time the fighter struck the boy , he {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (fall) down, but at once the boy stood up; and each time a heavy blow knocked him down, the boy stood up again. Several times later, the Buddhist monk asked, "{#blank#}7{#/blank#}do you think of your child?"

    "What a shame!" the boy's father said, "I never thought he would be so {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (easy) knocked down. I needn't have him stay here any {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (long)!
