Children at or under 120 cm tall don't need to buy tickets to take the train, but they cannot take the train by themselves. Children above 124 cm must buy a full-price ticket.
If you buy a round ticket, you can get on the train at Longyang Road Station or Pudong Airport Station, and get off at the other station. The return part of the ticket must be used on the same day.

    Teachers at American colleges and universities have many different teaching methods. Some teachers give homework and check homework every day, and students in their classes have to take many exams. Some teachers give only writing tasks. They can buy books, notebooks and other things at campus stores. There are also services (服务) to students. They can get advice on their problems from their teachers. Colleges and universities usually offer facilities (设施) to students. Some schools have swimming pools and tennis courts. Most have fast food restaurants.

    It can often be difficult to decline an invitation from a friend. Saying “No” would be impolite. It's a good idea to say,”I'm afraid I can't.” if you have to say no to an invitation.

    Would you mind…? VS Stop it!

    If someone is doing something rude, would you like them to stop? You shouldn't say, “Stop talking on your phone in the cinema!” You can say, “Would you mind not using your phone in the cinema, please?”

Amy lives far from her office. Five days a week, she gets up at about 5:30in the morning. After a quick breakfast, she walks to Finsbury Park Station.From there she goes to King's Cross Station in London by train. Then she goes to Holton in a bus. After that, she takes a taxi to her office. She gets there at about 8:00. It usually takes about two hours from her home to her office.

In order to know a foreign language thoroughly（彻底地）, four things are necessary. Firstly, we must be able to understand the language when we hear it. Secondly, we must be able to speak it by ourselves correctly, with confidence and without hesitation（犹豫）. Thirdly, we must be able to read the language. Fourthly, we must be able to make up sentences that are grammatically correct. We must know how to put sentences into paragraphs in order to write a good letter or article. 

There is no easy way to succeed in learning a foreign language. A good memory（记忆力）is of much help, but it is not enough to simply remember rules from a grammar book. It is no much use learning long words and their meanings by heart. 

We must learn not only words but also the use of them in sentences. We must learn by using the language. "Learn through using" is a good piece of advice for people to study a new language. Practice is very important. We must practice speaking and writing the language whenever we can. 

There is nothing like chocolate. Just thinking about it can make your mouth water. September 13 is the International Chocolate Day, which gives us a good reason to celebrate the world's most popular sweet. 

Chocolate comes from a civilization（文明）called the Maya. They had a special food called cocoa. The word cocoa means" gift from God". About five hundred years ago, the Europeans found the Mayans and used cocoa to make chocolate. 

For centuries, only the rich could enjoy chocolate, and normal people could not get hold of it. All this changed when European companies started to produce chocolate bars in the 19th century. Chocolate comes in different colors and sizes. People often eat white, dark and milk chocolate. The biggest chocolate bar was ever made in Italy in 2011 and weighed almost 6 tons! That's as big as an elephant. 

There are also different shapes of chocolate and people often take them as holiday gifts. Chocolate bunnies（小兔子）and eggs are popular on Easter, chocolate coins are common on Christmas Day, and chocolate hearts are great gifts for Valentine's Day. At certain parties and wedding ceremonies(结婚典礼), chocolate fountains always surprise guests. 

Lots of people say chocolate is bad for your health. Not necessarily so! Scientists now say it is good for people's heart and can make the body release chemicals that actually make us happy and make us feel better. But don't eat too much of it.
