    The Group of Twenty (G20) is an international forum for the governments and central bank leaders from 20 major members around the world. It was first founded in Berlin, in December 1999 with the aim of promoting global growth.

    The members include 19 individual countries—Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States. The final member is the European Union, represented by the European Commission and by the European Central Bank.

    During 4-5 September, 2016, the G20 summit was held in Hangzhou. It is the first time G20 summit to be held in China and the second in an Asian country. Leaders of the G20 gathered here to discuss important things. Why choose Hangzhou to hold G20? Here are some reasons:

◆Hangzhou is one of the most economically vibrant  cities in China.

It is known as one of the best livable  cities and low-carbon cities in China.

◆It is also the first city in China to run a public bike rental  service.

◆The e-commerce giant Alibaba was founded in Hangzhou, which is also the hometown of its founder Jack Ma.

◆Chinese President Xi Jinping also served as Zhejiang province's Communist Party Chief and is said to fondly remember the five years he spent in Hangzhou.

    In order to get ready for the G20 summit, Chinese leaders have spent several billion on new highways and three-storey homes near the International Expo Centre, the venue for the summit, which was completed in April 2016 cost of £917 million. Around 225 factories have been closed to reduce the pollution.

Now the G20 summit is over, but people around the world know Hangzhou, a beautiful city. China will continue to try its best for a better world.

    We spoke to three students from around the world about different national holidays．There are different customs (习俗) for each festival．

    “It'll be Chinese New Year soon．Before it we'll clean the house and decorate(装饰) it for good luck．Every shop is going to close for a few days and we'll go out a lot to celebrate in the streets．We might go and see the lion and dragon dances in the city center．I love this festival．”

    “Australia Day is on 26th January and it's an important holiday here．We always have a Monday off, so we celebrate for three days．My parents and I go to the countryside for a picnic and friends always come over．Many people go to beach parties or street parties and there's lots of music and dancing．What fun!”

    “The first Thanksgiving Day was hundreds years ago when Europeans who came to America thanked God for his help．It's still a very important day for families to be together．This year we're going to visit my parents and we'll eat a delicious meal of turkey．Thanksgiving Day is on the fourth Thursday in November every year．”

    Everyone has a family name. My name is Jane Armstrong. Armstrong is my family name. What does Armstrong mean (意思)? Does it mean my arms are strong? But I am a slim (苗条的) girl. I don't like strong arms. My best friend is Lucy Long. Is she a tall girl? No, she isn't. She is short. But she has long hair. Some family names come from jobs. My friend's name is James Cook. Does it mean he can cook(烹饪)? No, it doesn't. And he doesn't like cooking at all. He only likes eating nice food. And he likes the TV show A Bite of China(《舌尖上的中国》) because it is all about nice food. Some people get family names from places. Ann Hill is my classmate. Is there a hill near her home? Yes. There is one hill behind( .....后.面) her home. But her uncle, Tom Hill, lives 20 km from a hill.

Chinese tourists flock(涌入) to Morocco(摩洛哥) during Spring Festival

In the Chinese restaurant of Chefchaouen, one of the, top tourist attractions(旅游景点) in Morocco, an area of less than 100 square meters was full of more than a hundred Chinese tourists, with a lot more waiting outside, during the Chinese Spring Festival.

"Boss, can I have my Kung-Pao Chicken now?" "Boss, is my beef noodles ready?" Some visitors were not patient cough to wait long for their ordered foods. Restaurant owner said that during the Spring Festival, beer business was much better than usual.

Another Chinese restaurant owner in Fes, Morocco's central city, had the same experience. The waiters said during the Spring Festival, a large number of Chinese tourists waited in lines for meals every day.

In the southem Moroccan town of Marrakech, tourist buses full of Chinese tourists can be found everywhere during the Spring Festival.

In Majorelle Garden, a famous tourist attraction, two girls from Ningbo, a city in East China's Zhejiang province, said they chose Morocco as their Spring Festival travel place to taste the country's special food.

Morocco's Minister of Tourism Mohamed Sajid said it hopes to attract (吸引) 500,000 Chinese tourists each year by 2020.

Sajid also said Morocco is working to improve hotels, transports and tourist reception. He said direct flights(直达航班) between Morocco and China are being discussed, which is one of the key factors to attract Chinese tourists.
