Liu Yaxuan is totally a homebody. Every weekend, this 14-year-old student from Tsinghua High School watches popular TV dramas and plays with her mobile phone. She hates playing outdoor sports."It's too tiring,"she said.

She is not alone. In recent years, more and more Chinese teenagers are becoming homebodies. A 2013 survey of kids aged 2 to 14 showed about half of them spend less than one hour doing outdoor activities every day.

To some extent, heavy academic pressure (学业压力) caused this situation. Hu Huilan, 12, from Shenzhen Nanshan Language School, is busy with piles of homework and extra classes on weekends."I don't want to get behind,"she said.

Even if this isn't a problem, kids still prefer indoor life. Wang Yidi, 12, from Anhui No. 50 Middle School, often reads Harry Potter, listens to music and surfs the Internet at home."I can do so many things I like at home rather than hang out in smoggy weather,"she said.

But this causes bad health conditions. Chinese teenagers' physical conditions have been dropping for about 28 years, reported a newspaper last year.

The situation for teenagers should be changed. They should spend their free time outdoors even if it just means going to the park or reading a book under the tree. Nice weather, little homework and rich outdoor activities enable them to do that. It helps them stay energetic.

Every year on 24 April, it's Space Day of China.  It's a day to celebrate the country's growth in space exploration.  The manned space missions (载人航天任务) are a big part of it.  {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

What problems do astronauts face?

In space, astronauts face many problems.  There is little gravity (重力) there, which affects their bodies. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} What's more, if something goes wrong during their mission all of a sudden, they have to work out how to fix it under huge pressure.  That's why astronauts have to be smart, strong, and ready for any challenge before they can go to space.

"To make sure that Chinese astronauts complete their missions and return to the Earth safely, over 200 kinds of training are set," said Huang Weifen, the chief designer of the project.  These include not only physical training but also some basic science training.  So before astronauts can go to space, they train like this for at least three and a half years. 

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} This helps them get ready for the weightless environment in space.  Huang explained that astronauts wear diving suits (潜水服) that weigh more than 100 kilograms and stay underwater for six hours at a time.  She said that it was quite hard.  For example, Nie Haisheng even lost 2 kilograms after one underwater training exercise.

 The koala is unique(独特的) to Australia and is an important symbol of the country. The koala is found in open cucalypt(桉树) forests in south-east Queensland. Even if it is called koala bear, this animal has nothing to do with the actual bear. Koalas have thick fur and large ears. Their broad, flat nose makes them look cute, similar to teddy bears. In fact koalas aren't cute. They have sharp teeth and very sharp claws (爪)! Koalas are marsupials(有袋类). This means the mother carries her baby in a pocket while it develops, like a kangaroo. The baby koala lives in its mother's pocket for the first six months of its life.

 The name"koala" comes from a native Australian word that means"no drink". The koalas get almost all their water from the eucalyptus leaves they eat. That's where they get their food too. Koalas eat only eucalyptus leaves. The eucalyptus trees are where the koalas live and also where they sleep. Koalas sleep about nineteen hours a day!

 Why do they sleep so much? Some people think it's because they' re lazy. But koalas aren't lazy. They sleep so much because there isn't much nutrition(营养) in cucalyptus leaves. Koalas store hardly any fat, so they must save their energy. One way to do this is to move slowly and sleep a lot. After a day of sleeping they like to move around and ea t just after sunset. They live alone most of the time. Koalas are very protective of their trees. If a koala sees another koala eating in its favorite tree, it might tell the other koala to leave by"barking" at it. Koalas do"talk" to each other. Besides barks, the males make a deep . grunting (呼噜的) sound. The mothers and babies talk in soft clicking sounds. If they get scared they may scream(尖叫) like a baby. The koala is also an excellent swimmer.

 They are able to cross rivers to escape from heavy flooding(泛滥).
