Sarah's cat has two new kittens on April 15th. They still can't {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. After {#blank#}2{#/blank#} days, they have white fur. They make {#blank#}3{#/blank#} when they are hungry. Their eyes are open on April {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. A week later, the kittens can {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. And they can {#blank#}6{#/blank#}with each other (相互), too.

    John lives in a tall building in the city of Beijing. There are eighteen floors in the building, and he lives on the fifteenth floor. He uses a lift(电梯)to go up and down.

    John works very hard. He goes to work early. Every day he gets out of the lift. Then he walks to a bus stop. It is about two hundred meters from his home.

    He usually catches the number 11 bus to work. John works in a factory about ten kilometers from his home. He starts working at 8：30, and finishes at 4：30. He gets back home at 5：15. He gets into the lift, and he goes up to the twelfth floor. Then he gets out of the lift and climbs up to the fifteenth floor on foot.

    Joe is my pen pal. He is 12 years old. He is from Australia. He lives in Sydney. He likes Chinese. He likes reading Chinese books. His favourite food is Chinese food, too. Every week, he studies Chinese. He loves China. On the weekends, he usually does word puzzles and play football. He is an interesting boy.

    China is in Asia. It's a very big country. It's bigger than Australia and smaller than Canada. Most of the people in China can have four seasons. But people in South China have three seasons-spring, summer and autumn. They don't have winter. In North China, people have a cold, dry and windy winter every year. People in Kunming only have one season-spring. It's warm and humid（潮湿的） all the year. There you can see green trees and all kinds of beautiful flowers. So "Spring City" is another name of Kunming.

Aunt Jane's Birthday

    Christmas Day is coming. Aunt Jane's birthday is coming, too. Because she was born on Christmas Day. She will be 40 years old, Dad and Mum are going to take me to her house. We are going there by train. We are leaving(离开) on Friday evening, and we are coming back on Sunday afternoon. The birthday party will be on Saturday. I am going to give my dear Aunt Jane a birthday card. I am making it now. I use my colour pencils to draw some nice flowers on the card, and a small cat, too, because she likes cats. I think the card will be very nice. Dad says his sister will like it very much.
