One day Tom tells his friends，" I'm going to have holidays in Beijing. But I can't speak Chinese，so I'm going to have evening classes and have Chinese lessons there for a month." Soon his holidays come and he goes to China happily. After he comes back，his friends ask him，" Do you have any trouble with your Chinese when you are in Beijing，Tom?" "No，I don't." Answers Tom，" But the Chinese do!"

    Mr Jones was very angry with his wife．And Mrs Jones was very angry with her husband．For a few days，they didn't speak to each other．One evening，Mr Jones was very tired when he came back from work，so he went to bed soon after he had dinner．Mrs Jones washed the dishes and did some sewing．When she went to bed much later than her husband，she found a piece of paper on the small table near her bed．On it was the words：“Mother，wake me rup at 7 a．m．tomorrow．  一Father．”The next morning，  Mr Jones found a piece of paper on the table，too．On it was the words：“Father，wake up．It is 7 a．m．一Mother．”

    Today is September 1. It's the first day of school. Lily wants to go back to school. She wants to meet her friends. She wants to meet her new teachers.

    Lily gets up early in the morning. She washes her face and has breakfast. Then she rides her bike to school. She sees her friends on the playground. She plays hide­and­seek(捉迷藏) with them. In the classroom, Lily meets her new English teacher. Her name is Mrs. Green. Lily likes Mrs. Green. She can speak English very well. Lily thinks she is a nice teacher.

    Last weekend we had a birthday for our classmate Zhang Xiaohui. She is younger than me, but I am shorter than her. And she looks stronger. Of course she is heavier than me. We went to a shop to buy a present for Xiaohui. What did we buy? We bought a doll for her. Because she told me " I haven't got a lovely doll." When she got our present she looked excited. She was very happy. We went to the zoo. We saw elephants. We wanted to row a boat in Jingming park, but it was later, we had to went home. We had a good time on that day.

    I am Chen Jie. I usually get up at 7 o'clock but not on the weekend. I go to school at 7:30. We have four classes in the morning and three classes in the afternoon. I like Chinese very much. We have a Chinese class at 9:30. I go home at 5:30 pm. I eat dinner at 6:30 pm. Then I do my homework at nine o'clock.

In the pencil-case, I have five pencils and two rubbers. I also have three rulers. They are blue. I have many books in the schoolbag. I like my bag. Listen! It's time for class. I can hear the bell.
