Do you think there is a ghost(鬼) in the world? More than 20 years ago, a student jumped from the top of the clock tower in the University of Birmingham. He did this only because he failed his final exam.

   After his death, a superstition(迷信)began: Anyone who walks under the clock tower will have bad luck in his exam. Years later, students there still remembered the story of the tower. Although Birmingham is the second largest city in Britain, the university is green and quiet. The grass around the tower has been worn away by the feet of students who refuse to pass underneath the tower.

   The university had to pave(铺)extra paths, so students could walk to their classrooms without passing under the most terrible area. But, one day just before an important exam, a top student in the university walked under the clock tower because he was lost in thought.

However, he got high marks in the exam the next day. Quickly students all knew about it. Then they realized that the most important thing is working hard. 

   Whenever I go under the clock tower, I will tell myself, “Working hard is the key to success.”

    Running away is a serious problem. There are lots of runaway and homeless kids living in the streets around the world.

    If your friend is thinking about running away, tell him or her that it is difficult to survive(幸存）in the streets. Try to help your friend feel less alone.

    ③Whatever the problem is, there are other ways to solve it. Maybe you can't think of the ways right now, but an adult(成年人）will know how to help you. You should tell an adult that your friend plans to run away as soon as possible. Being a real friend doesn't mean keeping a secret that may hurt someone. And running away isn't a solution(解决方法）for either of you.64.It only makes more problems and danger.

    It was too late at night when an old man came to a small town. He found a small hotel and wanted to stay there for the night. After he went into his room, the owner said to his wife, "Look at his bag, there must be much money in it. Let's take it away when he is asleep, shall we?"

    "No, no." said the woman, "He must look for his bag tomorrow morning. If he can't find it, he'll telephone the police. "They thought for a few minutes. Then the woman had an idea, "We have forgetful grass. Why not put some into his food? If he has the food, he will forget to take his bag away. "The old man had the food with the forgetful grass and went to bed. The next morning, when the owner got up, he found the door open, and the man had left with the bag. He was angry and woke his wife up, "What a fool! Your forgetful grass isn't useful at all."

    "No, I don't think so He must forget something." she said. "Oh! I remember now!" cried out the man suddenly, "He forgot to pay for the night."

    From the story we know the owner of the hotel wanted to {#blank#}1{#/blank#}the old man's bag when he slept. But his wife {#blank#}2{#/blank#}with him, and she {#blank#}3{#/blank#}up with a good idea that they put some forgetful grass into the food {#blank#}4{#/blank#}that the old man would forget his bag. The forgetful grass worked. The old man really forgot something-he didn't {#blank#}5{#/blank#}to pay for the night.

    Tom and Mike are good friends. They are kind to children. They want to find summer jobs. One day Tom tells Mike that Beidaihe Kids Summer Camp needs help with sports, music and computers. They are both very glad to hear(听说) this.

    Tom can play basketball and volleyball, and he can swim, too. Mike can play the violin, the trumpet, the drums and the guitar. Tom and Mike like computers very much. Can they join the Summer Camp?
