Hello, my name is Kate. I have studied in a nursing school for three years. During my second month of the school, our teacher gave us a small test. I answered the questions very quickly until I read the last one:“What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?” I thought this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman a few times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50s, but how could I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our grade. “Of course,” said the teacher, “As a nurse, you will meet many people. You should care all of them, even if al1 you do is just to smile and say ‘hello’.”  I've never forgotten that lesson. Later I learned her name was Dorothy.

    China produces 80 billion (十亿) pairs of such chopsticks every year. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. Can you imagine how many trees have to be cut down every year？20 million. Can you imagine how old the trees are？20 years old.   

    Many people choose to use such chopsticks because they think they are cleaner. In fact，they're not safe. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}.

    Several months ago, Huang Bo, a popular actor, wrote a message on his micro blog (微博)．{#blank#}4{#/blank#} Once he went to a restaurant with his friends. He tried to wash the disposable chopsticks. He was surprised to find the chopsticks turned the water yellow and gave off a bad smell.

    That's true. The smell show that they may be dealt with sulphur (硫磺) and other chemicals (化学制品)． That's very bad for people's health.

    Whenever you need help, turn to your parents and friends for help.  It's better to speak the worries out and get some advice from others.  Sometimes you will feel relaxed when you find that someone else has the same problems as you do.

    If you find yourself stressed out, try to find a way to let the feelings out. Doing breathing exercises, listening to music, doing some sports and taking a walk may help. Or just shout it out if the other things don't help you feel better.

    When you calm down, it's time to deal with your problem. You should find out what the problem is and figure out a way to solve it. If you can't solve all of it at once, you may begin by solving part of it. When you don't know what to do with your problem, you may become stressed.  But when you've found out what the problem is and have started solving it, you will find your stress gone.

    Every coin has two sides. Looking at the dark side can make you stressed and it won't help solve your problem. So why not look at the bright side? You may find your problem not too hard to deal with when you are less stressed out. And more ideas will come up to you when you are relaxed.

    After you have solved the problem or part of the problem, buy yourself a gift, go and see a movie or just hang out with your friends. You will enjoy the feeling of being relaxed.

    Rainforests are magical(神奇的)places on earth, full of life and beauty. They are homes, to millions of birds, insects, animals, and plants. These forests are the world's natural treasure(财富).

    Most rainforests are near the equator(赤道). Some of the largest are in Brazil, South Asia and Central Africa. There are several kinds. Each has different levels of rainfall and different types of soil and temperature.

    In equatorial rainforests, the temperature stays between 25 and 35 degrees during the year. These rainforests get a lot of rain-as much as 4, 000 millimeters per year. Monsoon rainforests are very different. They have long dry periods. Also, their temperature can change a lot from season to season.

    Rainforests are important for many reasons. One is their great diversity(多样性)of life. There are millions of species of insects, animals, and plants. Scientists still don't know about most of them yet. Many rainforest plants could help us make new medicines. Rainforests also keep the soil strong. And they may be important to the earth's climate.

    Unfortunately, rainforests are getting smaller every year. Farmers burn down trees for land. Large companies cut down trees for their valuable wood. Other companies build mines near forests.

    Environmental groups are trying hard to save the rainforests. Hopefully they can, before they're all gone.
