Duties of a Student

    Education is the very thing that we want to receive. Our parents {#blank#}1{#/blank#} us to school so as to enable (使能够) us to get knowledge and achieve great things in the future. The followings are the duties of a student which we should keep in {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

    Firstly, we should be filial (孝顺的) to our parents and respectful to our {#blank#}3{#/blank#}.

    Secondly, we must study as {#blank#}4{#/blank#} as we can.

    Thirdly, we must not tell lies.

    Last of all, we must not criticize (苛求) {#blank#}5{#/blank#}.

    To sum up, the above-mentioned rules are the very duties of a student.

    The most difficult thing for university student Shaun Rogers is opening the classroom door by {#blank#}1{#/blank#} . Shaun can't do this without help because he is only six years old. He's the {#blank#}2{#/blank#}person ever to study at Rochester University in New York. Shaun began {#blank#}3{#/blank#} at two and by the age of five he had read many books and was able to finish writing his first book. "I love learning", says Shaun." My hero is the scientist Albert Einstein. He never combed (梳理) his hair or {#blank#}4{#/blank#} socks."

    Shaun's mother first recognize that her son was different when he kept crying at playschool because he was bored with the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} games. She started teaching him at home after finding that local schools {#blank#}6{#/blank#} not prepared for children who learned at Shaun's speed. Now Shaun is studying geography at the university and using the Internet to finish his high school studies. However, some scientists {#blank#}7{#/blank#} that too much study can stop a child from developing {#blank#}8{#/blank#} . "I don't care how clever the kid is. A six-year-old boy has to play with their friends," says Dr. Brain Wood. Mrs. Rogers disagreed that all her son's time was {#blank#}9{#/blank#} up by schoolwork. "He loves playing the violin and has many{#blank#}10{#/blank#} such as camping, fishing and swimming, just like other boys of his age."

—What is your mother going to do this Saturday?

—I'm not sure. She {#blank#}1{#/blank#} go to see my grandmother.

    Tigers are very strong and scary. We may see tigers in Europe, Asia and America in the mountains. The tigers live far away from {#blank#}1{#/blank#} houses. They eat birds, hares (野兔) and other small {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. In the day they hide in the dens (巢穴), and at night they go out {#blank#}3{#/blank#} food.

    In {#blank#}4{#/blank#} when tigers are hungry, they will become very {#blank#}5{#/blank#} But now, people cut down many {#blank#}6{#/blank#}, so tigers are losing their homes. Also, some people kill tigers to get {#blank#}7{#/blank#} fur. Some people even buy things made {#blank#}8{#/blank#} tiger bones (虎骨). So the number of tigers {#blank#}9{#/blank#} getting smaller and smaller.

    Animals are our {#blank#}10{#/blank#} friends. In order to protect them, we must build many natural reserves. And we must stop people from hunting.
