1．Reduce
If you want to reduce waste, you should use things wisely. Millions of trees are being cut down to make paper. If everyone uses a little paper carelessly and throw it out, soon we would not have any trees left. Other things are also being wasted, and people don't know what to do with the waste in big cities. So it is necessary to reduce the waste
2．Reuse
You should always think of reusing the usable things before throwing them out. Give your clothes you do not use or the ones which are too small to the poor. With a family, you may pass on such clothes to younger brothers or sisters.
3. Recycle

4．Recover

5. Repair
If one of the legs of your table is broken, you can repair it instead of throwing it away. If you want to change for better ones, It is better for you to sell the old things or give them to other people who can use them after doing some repair.       The world has many beautiful sounds. We can hear the songs of birds and the laugh of people. We can listen to cool music and news reports. And it's all because of our ears! They bring us a world of sounds.
      But some people can't hear any sound at all. Some are born deaf. Others can hear well in their childhood, nut too many loud sounds hurt their ears later on.
       Many people in China can't hear ordinary sounds clearly. Lots of them are children. Most of them are born with good hearing. But six children of every 1,000 have hearing problems when they are born. And if a children has hearing problems, he or she usually will also have some learning problems at school.

Hearing is important for all of us. So we should do our best to give our ears special care. Don't forget to do the following:
◎ Try to stay away from places with too much noise. If you have to go, wear earplugs.
◎ When swimming, remember to put earplugs into your ears to stop water from getting in.
◎ Never put anything sharp into your ears. If you think you have too much earwax, ask your parents to help you clean it out.

A computer program that could help catch and ever translates from aliens in outer space has been started by a British scientist.

If aliens are discovered one day, scientists fear their language may make it possible to understand them. But John Elliott of needs Metropolitan University in Britain has come up with a program that can figure out the structure(结构)of their language. He thinks that's the first step in understanding what they are saying.

Dr. Elliott's program would compare an alien language to a database (数据库)of 60 different languages in the world to look for a similar structure. He believes that even an alien language will have its own structure. Language has to be structured in a certain way, or it will be harder to use, he told New Scientist magazine.

Research had shown that it is possible to know if a signal(信号)carries a language rather than a picture or music. Dr. Elliott has gone a step further by finding a way to pick out what might be words and sentences. Because languages have different word orders, Dr. Elliott has set up a library of the sentence structures of 60 human languages.

If a message is received from outer space, it could be compared against this database. Scientist would then be able to see if ti's similar to any human language, or a mix of the language.

However, Dr. Elliott also said that in order to translate what the aliens are actually saying, it may still be necessary to have a code book.
