Cartoon is the most popular TV program that attracts many children at the age 3 to 10. It's {#blank#}1{#/blank#}  that the word "cartoon" came from Italian. It first referred to the picture before a true drawing on the wall. In the mid-19th century, it came into English.  {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  the 1840s , it has also come to mean any picture that is humorous, satirical(讽刺的) or showing an opinion. It usually comes out in a newspaper and magazine, with or  {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  a short text. Today cartoons are a  {#blank#}4{#/blank#}  of the daily life of most people. Cartoons not only show their life,  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}    also help them relax.

Electricity is a type of energy that was discovered over 100 years ago. Either you or the other person may need to continue an activity, such {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  working or shopping. Or you may have run out of things to say. You just want to keep the conversation short.

    But{#blank#}3{#/blank#} do you end a conversation in a polite way？It may {#blank#}4{#/blank#}  on where and how the conversation started. It may also depend on your relationship with the{#blank#}5{#/blank#}person. If you already know that person, you can just say, "I need to run now." Or you can say, "I'll catch you later." You may also give a reason for ending the conversation. "I really need to go—my piano class starts in ten {#blank#}6{#/blank#}."

    Perhaps you just meet someone in a social situation(社交场合）, and you have a nice talk. But then you have to go. You can say, "It was nice meeting you. Maybe we can talk happily again sometime in the {#blank#}7{#/blank#}."

    Another way to end a conversation is to make it easy for the other person to {#blank#}8{#/blank#} . If you see the other person is already not patient, you can say, "Well, I'm sure you have a lot to do today."
