For international students, perhaps the most direct impact of culture shock is the variety of accents, especially in multicultural countries {#blank#}8{#/blank#}the U.S. Canada or Australia.There are two main reasons: Firstly, these countries have highly diversifiedgroups of residents from different cultural{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(background). Secondly,  there are many international students fromall around the world every year studying in these countries, so you shouldn'tbe surprised {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(find) allkinds of unfamiliar accents around the university campus.

    A graduation speech given by Chief Justice John Roberts became a talking point after The Washington Post published it.

I wish you bad luck again, from time to time, so that you will be conscious of the role of chance in life and understand your success is not completely deserved and {#blank#}7{#/blank#}the failure of others is not completely deserved either.”

    He continued, “I hope you{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(ignore), so you know the importance of listening to others{#blank#}9{#/blank#}I hope you will have just enough pain to learn compassion.”

    In the end, each graduate received a pocket-size copy of the Constitution {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(sign) by Roberts.

    Hollywood filmmakers, including creators of the 1998 Disney fílm Mulan, will start a “discovery trip” to Mulans birthplace —Huangpi district in Hubei province this week.

    During {#blank#}1{#/blank#} two-day visit, they will see a number of Mulan-themed performances, such as horse fighting show and local opera. They also will visit {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (place) of historical interest, like the Mulan Mountain and the Generals Temple.

    On May 28th, we observe World Hunger Day. It is an effort to focus attention on {#blank#}1{#/blank#}fact that despite there being enough food globally, some 21,000 people die every day from hunger.

    People do not go hungry because the world does not produce enough food for everyone. According to the world Hunger Education Service, recently the percentage of people {#blank#}2{#/blank#}cannot get enough food chronically（长期地）has reduced from 34% to 15%. The main problem is that many people in the world still do not have resources{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (purchase) or grow enough food.

    Indeed, hunger{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (be) a result of poverty, and also one of its causes. Hunger exists because many countries lack social safety nets; because in many countries women, although they do most of the farming, do not have as much access {#blank#}5{#/blank#} men to training or land.

    Over the past decade, a global push to reduce hunger and extreme poverty{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (mark) some significant successes, partly thanks{#blank#}7{#/blank#} the efforts of many international{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(organization). But on world Hunger Day, let us not forget that with over 815,000 people still{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (live) in daily food insecurity, we still have a long way to go before we can {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(safe) say that no child goes to bed hungry most nights.
