My name is Dan and I have two brothers, Bob and Ray. We like hamburgers for lunch. Bob and I like French fries, but Ray doesn't. I don't like eggs for breakfast, but Bob and Ray do. I like fruit for breakfast. We really like chicken and salad for dinner.

    A lion is tired very much and sleeps on the ground one day . A cat runs after a little mouse . The mouse runs around and comes to the lion . The mouse sees the lion and he is very afraid (害怕的) . “ I' m very sorry . Please let me go . I can help you some day . ” The lion sleeps well and feels happy now . He says , “You can help me ? You are too small . But I am happy now . You can go . ” The mouse goes .

    One day , the lion is in a cage(笼) . He can't get out . The little mouse sees the sad lion . He bites (咬)  the cage with his teeth . Soon the lion goes out . “Am I right ? ” says the mouse , “ A small animal can help a big one sometimes . ”

    A teacher asks his students to write about their dreams. One boy writes seven pages. He wants his own farm and a large house on it. But his teacher tells him, "You are daydreaming. Do it again." Several days later the boy hands in the same article, saying, "I don't want to give up my dream even if you fail me." Years later, he makes his dream come true. One day, the same teacher takes some students to the boy's farm for camping. Seeing the big farm, the teacher feels sorry, "I once told you not to daydream. Luckily, you never gave up."

Humans are mammals (哺乳动物). Most mammals are born able to do many things.

Some can walk within a few minutes of being born. They have to be able to run away if 1 is near. But human babies are born 2. They need the care of adults to live.

In the first month of life, babies can not smile or sit up. They can not even hold up their own heads 3 some help from grown-ups.

In the next few months, babies grow a lot. They learn to roll over, support their heads, and 4 sit up while being held.

Babies also have to learn to use their 5. It takes months for them to learn to reach for objects. At around six months old many babies can 6 an object from one hand to another.

Babbling is 7 a human baby learns to speak. Babies all seem to make similar sounds by babbling. They try to imitate (模仿) the sounds they hear from adults. It will take about nine months 8 a baby can say real words.

Somewhere around a baby's first birthday he or she may stand or walk with help. Soon the baby will 9 around on his or her own!

The first year of a baby's life is a time of growing and 10. Growing sure takes a lot of work!

It is the second day of the winter holiday. My family are taking a train to visit1  grandparents in Harbin. They are very  2 , but I'm not. I don't know why they start the long journey3  telling me. I can't watch my friend Tina 4  volleyball this Sunday. I will be 30. 5  Diana's birthday party in ten days. I feel angry, so I just keep 6 . I don't want to say a word. 

"Nana, do you like 7 ?"I hear my dad ask my 4-year-old sister Nana.
